Just because they say it's legal DONT make it right. Your business is a scam and the worst type because you take advantage of people that don't have and lie and say your helpin when in reality your stealing from them the little they have. I paid over $11,000 for 2003 nissan not worth $3000. Despite this FACT during the the last 12 months I have left to pay my $335 payment( another $4,000) they repo my car for $640! I had to travel miles away to get the vehicle back; pay $85 to get the plates and other things back then they raised my monthly payment to $411 for the next 12 months! Yet you say you help! DONT DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! Check around first also ask dealers when you go into the auto store how they feel about credit acceptance of they even work with this company! Oh yeah the company I brought this car from changed numbers no way to contact them and EVERYONE who brought a car from this dealer had a MECHANICAL issue with there cars! AS DID I  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE find another option besides credit acceptance and their partners including repo person and people who take your things out of the car! Legally nothing we can do but if you don't give them your business they can not continue to do this to people!

Credit Acceptance IS a scam

AUTHOR: CLEGARE - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, April 04, 2016

While I agree with you, that people with poor credit, need to accept responsibility for their own actions, I am in full agreement with this consumer. I destroyed my credit as a teenager, and as a result, ended up in a situation where I had no choice but to finance my vehicle through Credit Acceptance. They most certainly do take advantage of people, and are VERY deceitful. I also had my vehicle repo'd, for my LAST payment, which they already had authorization to process payment for, the following day. I was told there was nothing they could do, it was too late, and they charged me nearly $500 in repo fees. As soon as I paid my vehicle off (that day), they electronically disabled my vehicle. It took filing a report with the attorney generalike AND the better business Bureau, for these crooks to "remember" that they disabled it. Also, they were ordered to refund my repo costs, since I had PROOF they had my payment, on an arrangement, and was promised my vehicle was secure. DO NOT do business with Credit Acceptance!

Comprehension is the key!

AUTHOR: Ms.benz - ()

POSTED: Sunday, October 26, 2014

Who said I wasn't able to make payments? Someone has a problem with comprehension skills I see! I said I inquired about payoff amount after 2 years. Never said I was Unable to make payments! For July and August I STOPPED direct deposit. Have someone read it to you maybe that will help. Also I did NOT SAY my credit was unrepairable I said it was not bad OR (keyword here) unrepairable! Once Again comprehension is important!

I do have buyers remorse the car was triple priced because it was financed! I was told I'll get a better deal with credit acceptance when that is not the finance company I was there to do business with! Was that too much for you to understand Mr. Consumer?

I have no reason to fabricate any story about the dealer! Call them oh wait you can't they have no contact! Read the reviews about the company! You know once you sign them papers and drive off the lot your responsible for the car! (I know that now)  I had to take the car I have back the day after I brought it! And again 2 days later! (Luckily I had a warranty the rest of the time because I needed it)

Credit acceptance is the finance company I dealt with which is why im speaking on it! This company repossed my car for $640 then raised the monthly rate which they say is to cover repossession fees! The customer service reps are rude especially the supervisor or manager whatever the title is. There were a few exceptions. And THE INTEREST RATES WERE VERY HIGH.  NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY MR. Consumer

If you have money for a down payment then use it to buy a car it will save you money, and a headache not to mention your credit. If you want or must finance a car make sure you find a company that deals with dealers who have working cars! Low interest rates. And get your approval before you go to the dealer just don't be like me and let them talk you into switching once there.

Also Mr. Consumer I won't be on any sidewalks because I'm driving my over priced car,  with the higher monthly payments that they repossessed, that I purchased from credit acceptance. Was that to much for you Mr. Consumer?

Subprime attitude

AUTHOR: coast - ()

POSTED: Sunday, October 26, 2014

You inquired about the payoff amount even though you were unable to maintain payments. That makes no sense. The high interest rate is a reflection of your credit rating.

“My credit was NOT bad or unrepairable! It is bad now thanks to credit acceptance.”

Why would ‘not bad’ credit need to be repaired? Your poor credit rating is due to your payment history. Another lender would have reacted the same way.

“I stopped it for 2 months in the summer due to no work”

Was there a ‘summer clause’ in the financial agreement? Did you forget that your income was seasonal?

“I should have took my down payment and just brought whatever used car was available for the price at the time!”

That supports my claim that you are suffering from buyer’s remorse.

The bottom line is that you are blaming the finance company for your failure to honor a financial agreement.

Please use the sidewalks when available.

Mr. Consumer/ legal robbery

AUTHOR: Ms.benz - ()

POSTED: Sunday, October 26, 2014

First off I asked about the final amount on the vehicle before signing the agreement. The seller said "you won't be paying this price. Everyone see this and gets nervous. You can pay it off early or trade it in, in a year or two. Most people do." (notice the quotation marks) when I called for a payoff amount the second year I was told by credit acceptance I would have to pay remainder of loan even if I payed it off 2 years earlier. ( I think your calls are recorded) also I tried to call the dealer back the number was not the same no new contact. The vehicle was overpriced due to HIGH interest rates through CREDIT ACCEPTANCE and extended warranty.

I JUST WANT PEOPLE TO BE AWARE OF WHAT THEY WILL BE GETTING INTO WITH CREDIT ACCEPTANCE and not make the same mistakes I did.

My credit was NOT bad or unrepairable! It is bad now thanks to credit acceptance. I went to the dealER paid my down payment and was there to finance with ANOTHER company! the only reason I went to finance was because my car was totaled in an accident by a hit and run driver and I needed another vehcile ASAP. When I got to the dealer he said that he " had a company that would give me a better deal based on my down payment" (notice the quotes) and recommended credit acceptance. SO I DIDNT CHOSE YOUR COMPANY BECAUSE MY CREDIT WAS BAD!

also I had direct deposit So the PAYMENTS were on time. I stopped it for 2 months in the summer due to no work in the summer then resumed it back! I would say after I paid $11000 for 2003 used car, I wouldn't have my car repossed for $640 that I paid by the way 5 days later!

Now I have a repo on my credit for 7 years! More of a reason to NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CREDIT ACCEPTANCE! It will not help it will only HURT! I will NEVER EVER finance anything again thanks to this company! so that repo on my credit won't harm me (since it seems your implying that in your comment) I should have took my down payment and just brought whatever used car was available for the price at the time!

If your reading this take YOUR DOWN PAYMENT AND just buy a used car you maybe responsible for repairs which is a small amount to pay in comparison to fixing your vehcile and getting bad credit; and repossession; on your credit Dealing with financing companies such as credit acceptance

Accountability

AUTHOR: coast - ()

POSTED: Sunday, October 26, 2014

If you are dissatisfied with the vehicle price and the interest rate then you are suffering from a case of buyer’s remorse. Your agreement was to pay the car note for the entire term of the loan but for some absurd reason you think it’s a scam because it was repossessed near the end of the agreement.

You should have elected not to purchase a vehicle from the dealer unless you fabricated the story about witnessing customer’s complaints.

Your credit will remain in the toilet until you accept responsibility for your actions, pay your bills on time, and wait seven years for the repo to cycle off your credit report.

FACTS CONSUMERS

AUTHOR: Ms.benz - ()

POSTED: Saturday, October 25, 2014

your interest rates are HIGH because of the state  your office is in! Me missing 2 payments because I was out of work is the reason consumer like YOU will thrive is what you say? No the fact you over over charge for vehicle, have high interest rates, and give loans to people with bad credit and who you are sure of at some point and time will miss a payment or two and will allow you to keep al their money and the vehicle is why you thrive! It's legal what you do but it WRONG!

So I will speak about this so others DONT go through. also I said this was my last months to pay off the car now they repo it and raise the rate THIS IS THE SCAM! i DONT work in the summer months school is out so last summer the same situation the car did NOT I REPEAT did NOT get repo until these last few months of payments so they can raise my payments! call it what you want I know what I see SCAM to take the money I spent and the car!!!!

As for the dealer I was there when the clients were bringing there cars back for mechanical issues, and the phone was ringing off the hook non stop fron consumers wanting to return the vehcile not to mention I had to take the car I brought back as well the next day, and then again two days later and I paid for the repairs. Happily I paid for a warranty that cover the other repairs!

You can say what you may CONSUMER in the end your company had interest rates, over priced vehicles and look for ways to take ppl money as well as the vehicle. My experience with this company #FACTS

THERE are a lot of others

Not a scam

AUTHOR: coast - ()

POSTED: Friday, October 24, 2014

It isn’t the finance company’s fault that you overpaid for a vehicle. You have no way of knowing that "EVERYONE" that bought a vehicle from the dealer had mechanical problems.

“PLEASE PLEASE find another option besides credit acceptance… if you don't give them your business they can not continue to do this to people”

Subprime lenders will continue to thrive as long as people like you continue to default on their financial agreements.
