Harrison Career Institute HCI Ripped me off. I need others to fight this with me now! (HCI Victims pls read!) Deptford Deptford New Jersey

I attended HCI in Deptford NJ 5 long years ago. I was in the Personal Computer Support with Networking class (PCSWN). I did the first two mods, or courses, which was hard because I basically did it on my own. Some of us never received the books that we were entitled to, there was a lot of times we didn't get computers because they were either not working or the daytime class did what they had to, to keep us (evening class) from using their computers. Also often the teacher was not in, or was busy playing online, or outside. So it was a "HELP yourself-DO yourself-TEACH yourself" course to Sum it up.

Even though it was hard, I thought It would be all worth it once I graduated and took my Certification tests. So I tried my best to educate myself.

After all the hard studying, hard work, and all the time I "WASTED", during those first two courses, I came in one evening like always and was given some shocking news. Because of the low number of students that were in my class, they decided to CANCEL the class for good. In the week or two before being kicked to the curb, they were setting up a dental classroom in our class, which we were told was going to be a new Class of Study to the school. We were told that the few of us in (PCSWN) might be moved to another classroom. Little did we know that we were about to be just a few of the many students who ended up getting, "SCAMMED, RIPPED OFF, and ROBBED" by HARRISON CAREER INSTITUTE!

As soon as the offices opened the next day I contacted both, my loan company (One Choice) and the HCI Corporate office, to complain about what happened, and to get some answers. I was told by HCI that I could either, transfer to another school when they started where I had left off , or, I could choose another class and start over. But I didn't want to start a new class, or subject--after all that work and time, and I concidered taking up my class in another County, but when I called that school, they weren't sure their PCSWN class was going to continue either.

HCI told me if I didn't want another class then I would not be responsible for paying for the class they Cancled. I told One Choice, who worked with me, and also thought I shouldnt be responsible for paying back an education that I didn't get, due to the circumstances. They were aware I was finished at HCI. From what I was told in the end, I would not owe any loan. For a while after that I was so mad about the wasted time and effort. And I wasn't suprised when I heard about the school's fraud, I was glad they there closed down.

Finally, Last year, my brother mentioned that One Chioce had called my mom's house, so I returned their call, courious to why they were calling. That's when I found out I owed a $16,000 student loan to them. I was SHOCKED! I explianed what had happened back at HCI , and I was sure they made some kind of mistake. It wasn't to hard to realize I was another HCI victim. Not only did HCI not pay the loan back to one choice, for the time I was there, but they also kept collecting money from one choice for the second half of the class--when the class didn't even exist! So with intrest I now owe $16,000 and something. BUT IM NOT PAYING FOR AN EDUCATION THAT I DIDNT RECIEVE!

The Government caught the school- they took all the school's money and closed them down, so where's the money they took??

Why did the government get all their money back, and the ripped off students get stuck with a student loan?? A Government student loan?? So they took all the schools money, why wasn't peoples loans corrected, or paid on when thats where all the schools money came from?? Something has to be done. Iv'e written and called all the departments I could think of, and was led no where. Recently I called the Governers Office and explained my situation, and the secretary told me to write a letter with all the info I can think of, and she said it would be best to find other HCI victims to write along with me. WE NEED TO WRITE OUR GOVERNERS! Something will happen if everyone who's been scammed, speaks together.!
