ANACOTT FINANCIAL SCAM, FRAUD, THEFT, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, Internet

i filled in my information with anacott financial to see if i could be pre-approved for their credit card, they asked for my payment information, which i should have been sceptical then, but was told i wouldnt be charged the "processing fee" until my identity was verified. the next thing i know, 2 hours later i get 2 emails. one saying your card has been charged $99 and another one saying "congradulations you were approved a credit limit of $1800." in the the heading, but then opened the email and it said nothing.... just blank. hmmmm, i thought they had to prove my identity first!!!

i was unsure about all of this because i have piss poor credit and thought it to be unusual for a company to give me an unsecured credit line over $1000. i looked up the company with the better business bureau and found nothing on them. i found nothing anywhere on them, except for their website, and a bunch of negative commentary over the web. i called and asked if i could receive my approval letter in writing on a comany letter head and was told by the "supervisor" that it was not possible for her to put in writing everything she was telling me over the phone and that she would just refund my money and deny me. I quickly accepted the offer and was told to wait 5 business days for the funds to post back to my card.

lets see if that happens.

ps-when i was on the line with them, it sounded like they were running this from out of a basement. i could here conversations of the people in the background, and it seemed like they were at a house. didnt sound like a call center or a professional operation. when the customer service rep "transferred" me to the supervisor, all he did was put his hand over the phone and call out to her. are you kidding me???
