Nextcard Nextcard ripoff, Can't pay off nextcard balance, keep getting overlimit fee charges Norcross GA

Hello there, like alot of other customers who own a nextcard I've had numerous problems with this credit card and can't seem to close it off or get rid of it. I believe I opened up this credit card in either 1999 or 2000. My credit limit started off at $1,800.00. The last time I was actually able to use this card (which I eblieve was around 2001 or 2002) I had a blanace of like $1,000.00. Oneday I got a notice from Nextcard, or rather this new company cardmemberservices stating that nextcard was closed and the card could no longer be used but I could pay off my card through this company. Of course I tried calling the 866-290-9235 # and you can NEVER speak to a real person, its a recording that gives you your invalid balance. Over the past few years somehow my balance has increased to $1,860.12. Mind you, I have not used this card since they colsed the acct..there was no way I could use it and now Im over the limit and I have an over the limit fee every othe rmonth. For example, in May paid off the "overthelimit fee" plus my minimu monthly payment because my husband and I would be buying ahouse next year and I cant get rid of this card, I ended up paying $194.46, the following statement still showed an over the limit amt of $1,860.12. I have spent hrs and hrs searching on the internet trying to find help or see what I can do without having to contact a lawyer. If everyone keeps having these problems with nextcard, how come a class action law suit or something hasn't been strated yet? I really need some help/ advice Im scared that if I send a check to pay off this bill in full I would keep having this neverending problem, so I dont want to do that. Can someone please help or give me some advice?
