Express will not return my $411 deposit after fulfilling their contract... I was in the program for 47 months!!
In August, 2003, I entered a debt consolidation program by sending $822 for the "first month's and last month's payment" via Titan Credit Solutions, a "vendor" for Express Consolidation. My rep was John Cooper and he made it perfectly clear that the "last month's" payment I was paying upfront would be applied to my debt at the end of the program.
I had to keep a constant eye on whether my monthly payments were being disbursed properly -- and many months I had multiple late fees (in the $100's!!) due to negligence on Express' end -- they did not disburse funds quickly enough.
In July, 2007, I had only one creditor left to pay. I phoned Express' customer service to see if I should pay through them or directly. I was CLEARLY advised to contact the creditor directly for the pay-off amount and that my "last month's payment" would come to me as a "REFUND" -- if I had properly fulfilled my contract.
Initially it was estimated that the payoff of creditors would take 39 months; I had been in the program making payments via EFT for 47 months -- I'd call that a successful completion.
Express now claims that they DO NOT HAVE that last month's payment to refund... as that was paid to their "vendor", not them. There was never a clear division of vendor and Express in the beginning and all contracts were with Express directly.
I have spent the better part of the day being tossed from Customer Service to the Refund Dept and to the Legal Dept. I warned them that this was the last chance to make it right with me... I'd involve the BBB and blog all over the internet to ruin their reputation. However, being that there are 39 other reports, it looks like I'm not alone!!! I want my refund of $411. **IF** this was indeed paid to "Titan Credit" ... it is Express' job to track it down, not mine!!!
Randall Leshin: I asked multiple times to speak with you directly today. I now see why I couldn't be put through... I'm sure that it's a full-time job putting out all these fires out here online as people spread the truth about your RIPOFF COMPANY. A simple refund would solve it all. You might want to look around for other blogs from me.

She Missed Payments
AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Friday, July 04, 2008
This particular woman had missed several payments because her bank account had insufficient funds. On several occasions she called and begged us not to pull the money out because she didnt have it which caused her payments to be late with the creditors. Also she an initial payment of 411.00 and that was held till she finished the program but she never finished she obtained a payoff directly with the creditor. This was spelled out in her agreement.
