Gibson Trust rip-off Pompano Beach Florida

I started using Gibson Trust back in March of 1999. At the time they were called Goldstart Financial Systems, Inc.

It was a nightmare from day one. First, it took them several months to make the first payments with my creditors. Once things seemed to be on track, I thought it was going ok. Shortly after that, I started recieving late payments on my accounts. Everytime I called Gibson Trust, I would be on hold for what seemed like forever. When I finally got in touch with someone they were very helpful and promised me they would take care of everything.

The following month I would have more late charges on my accounts. I would call Gibson Trust back and try speaking to the representative that helped me previously, but my response was always "Sorry, they are no longer working with us", so I would have to start all over with another representative. It was very frustrating.

Finally, after dealing with them for 3 years, I had come into enough money that I was able to pay off all my creditors, so rather than going through Gibson Trust, I decided to pay them directly myself (Thankfully I did).

Gibson Trust still has my final payment that they owed me. When I contacted them yet again, I was told that I had to send them a certified letter with copies of my account statements proving that there was a 0.00 balance along with a letter stating that I wanted to close my account and that they still owed me my final payment. I receive the certifide letter back in an envelope from Gibson Trust with no letter, no note, no nothing!

I tried contacting them by phone several times since then only to get a recording that the number was disconnected. I didn't know what was going on! I tried bringing thier website up and...nothing! Finally I did a search and found another site that said they were going bankrupt! I couldn't believe it!....well no, I could believe it! On the website it said to contact Broward County Courthouse for information or to report any discrepencies. So I sent a certifide letter to Broward County Courthouse with a copy of the original agreement stating that Gibson Trust would refund me once I completed the program, along with some other important documents.

Thankfully, I had saved EVERYTHING from day one. I have my original contract, all my account statements from my creditors, statements from Gibson Trust (when I actually got them), names and dates of people I spoke with and reason for each call, faxes, fed-ex invoices for EVERY payment I sent, proving that they were sent on time, (no wonder they only accepted Money Orders).

I am still waiting to hear back from Broward County Courthouse and I will let you know the outcome. But if I can be of any help in filing a claim against Gibson Trust, Inc, nothing would make me happier! EVERYONE deserves justice and to get thier money back and I will do anything whatever I can to make that happen.
