I am going to post until I am gone from this world.  This company stole from me and I cannot sit by and do nothing.  Here is a copy of a email to BBB.

Dear Ms. Tennerson:

 Mr. Jeremy Wright and the people at Liberty Debt Management, Liberty Debt Management Inc, Liberty Debt or whatever name they go by are liars. Point Blank all they did was mailed letters to my credit card companies, they never called or sent anything certified mail. Hmmmm, $2,000 dollars for 5 computer generated letters and 5 first class stamps----please. If I looked on the BBB of Dallas first web site, I would have never lost my money. 

They stole my money just like many others. Liberty Debt Management have a terrible record with the BBB of Dallas, they moved their P.O. Suite to another city and added the Inc to their name and now they have a clean record with the BBB. Just check their record with the Dallas BBB and like others that was robbed you will see that I am telling the truth. They have to be stopped, they have a great scam going. Please tell me how can I go about having their horrible record with the Dallas BBB follwe them to the BBB of Fort Worth. I am not satisfied, they stole my hard earn money. I called and left messages to for Jeremy Wright to call me back and as of today years later he never called me.  His company is a Bait and Switch operation and all of them are nothing but crooks. Please I need help, they record with the Dallas BBB needs to follow them so others will not fall and lost hard earn money. I know you have other complaints for them and I know you will get many more. What settlement will they offer to me, I never gotten any kind of offer from them. My phone number is 973-204-, maybe someone from the BBB can call me with Jeremy and we can speak because somehow he do not know how to get in contact with me. Please post their record from the Dallas BBB, to save other people from getting taken like a fool.

Just read the "President/Owner's" remarks posted in his rebuttal:  the glaring grammatical & spelling errors are a good place to begin. These are easily avoided errors simply by employing a common "spell check" engine.  speak loudly of laziness & carelessness.  Simply unprofessional, they are errors a business owner/president should never commit as this alludes to there being a culture of similar irresponsibility pervading  

Yet, an even grander atrocity is the use of non-existent words that sound impressive to the uninformed reader who assumes this intellectual-sounding pseudo-jargon must imply a high level of education.  Example: "Assurety"

These types of businesses are commonly staffed & operated by dishonest individuals falsely portraying themselves to be genuinely concerned about resolving clients' financial issues are usually viewed by most to be virtuous & consummate citizens holding morals deeply influenced by their spirituality or religious dogma.  Such facades can be found in widespread use by these defraud-ers of this variety.

A quick bit of research into this particular organization has revealed a lawsuit on record for engaging in fraudent activities.

Interestingly, this debt management operation has apparently continued its continue to engage in deceptive practices by changing the name it operates under several times, Recently. when a former client confronted the Owner/Pres to obtain reasoning behind said frequent name changes, received an answer ONLY to last & most recent change: He claims is was simply because the business had received a charter of incorporation.  Now, anyone with basic knowledge of business ownership is aware of the definition of corporation & what incorporated status means, liability-wise.  What has obviously forced the owner/Pres. to incorporate was likely due to the quack owner having his business sued recently.  A business not chartered as a corporation is one where both the business's as well as the owner's assets have varying degrees of liability for damages/losses.  Incorporation allows only the business entity itself (holder of its stock) solely liable for any losses & damages. 

These actions clearly sream loudly to any potential customer looking to do business with this swindler two very important words:  CAVEAT EMPTOR!

They had over 50 complaints at the Irving, TX and they added the Inc. after Liberty Debt Management and moved address and BINGO new BBB file. I never got to talk with the original Blood sucker who set up my account. Avoid them like a deadly disease. They prey on you and know the law. They are crooks. I am an Honest person who got lead a stray by Liberty Crooks Management.

ASSURANCE OF VOLUNTARY COMPLIANCE

V. The Administrator alleges that the Respondents have used, are using, or are about to use unfair or deceptive acts or practices in the conduct of consumer transactions and consumer acts or practices in trade or commerce as declared unlawful by the Official Cod of Georgia Annotated (hereinafter "OCGA"). Specifically, the Administrator alleges that Respondents have committed the following acts or practices:

A. Operated a business that provided or offered to provide to Georgia consumers, in exchange for money or other valuable consideration, services that directly involved budget counseling, debt management, and/or negotiating with creditors to effect the adjustment, compromise or discharge of any account, not, or other indebtedness of the debtor (hereinafter "debt adjustment services"), while charging and collecting fees for said services in an amount greater than allowed under the Debt Adjustment Act, in violation of OCGA 10-1-393(A) and 18-5-2.

B. Provided debt adjustment services to Georgia consumers in exchange for money or other valuable consideration, without providing to the Office of Consumer Affairs the documents and information required by OCGA 18-5-3.1(b), in violation of OCGA 10-1-393(a) and 18-5-4 (b)(1).

VI. Pursuant to OCGA 10-1-402, which provides that an assurance of voluntary compliance shall not be considered an admission of violation of the FBPA for any purpose, Respondents hereby enter into this Assurance of Voluntary Compliance ("Assurance") in order to resolve this matter without the necessity of formal legal action.

VII. By accepting this Assurance, the Administrator agrees not to request the initiation of legal action against Respondents concerning the matters covered herein, subject, however to the provisions of OCGA 10-1-402.

VIII. Upon breach of any of the provisions of this Assurance by the Respondents, the Administrator reserves the right to pursue any action available under OCGA 10-1-390 et seq. against the Respondents concerning the subject matter of this Assurance.

IX. Respondents hereby acknowledge receipt of copies of the Fair Business Practices Act (OCGA 10-1-390 et seq.) and the Debt Adjustment Act (OCGA 18-5-1 et seq.). Respondents further acknowledge that they have knowledge of the FBPA and the Debt Adjustment Act and the provisions of each.

X. Respondents further agree that, effective with the date of acceptance by the Administrator of this Assurance, Respondents, their officers, agents, employees or representatives, servants, and all persons acting in concert with the Respondents:

A. Shall make every reasonable effort to act in full compliance with the Fair Business Practices Act and the Debt Adjustment Act.

B. Shall cease from providing or offering to provide debt adjustment services to consumers in this state without first supplying to the Office of Consumer Affairs all documents and information required by OCGA 18-5-3.1(b).

C. Shall cease from providing or offering to provide debt adjustment services and collecting payment for said services using a fee structure not contemplated under the Debt Adjustment Act.

D. Shall not charge or accept from a Georgia consumer any charge, fee, contribution, or combination thereof greater than 7.5 percent of the monthly amount the debtor pays to Respondents for distribution by Respondents to the debtor's creditors; provided, however, that no part of this Agreement shall prohibit Respondents from imposing upon a debtor who resides in this state a reasonable and separate charge or fee for insufficient funds transactions.

XI. Respondents shall, jointly and severally, pay the following:

A. Simultaneous with the execution of this Assurance:
1. A filing fee in the amount of NINETY and 50/100 DOLLARS ($90.50), which shall be paid by check or money order made payable to "Clerk, Superior Court of Fulton County" and shall be delivered to the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs; and
2. A certified check or money order, made payable to the "Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs" I the amount of TEN THOUSAND and No/100 DOLLARS ($10,000.00), which shall represent a civil penalty. Furthermore, in lieu of payment of the civil penalty, Respondent shall:
a) Continue to provide, free of charge, debt management and/or adjustment services to consumers who reside in Georgia and for whom Respondent is currently providing service; and
b) Refrain from soliciting Georgia residents to participate in its debt management and/or adjustment services unless and until Respondent has complied with the terms of this Assurance, the Debt Adjustment Act, and the Fair Business Practices Act.

XII. This Assurance, when accepted by the Administrator, will bind the Respondents and Respondents' successors and/or assigns who take with notice of the terms and provisions of this Assurance. Respondents hereby agree to give notice of this Assurance to Respondents 'successors and/or assigns.

This Assurance, made and entered into by and between the undersigned parties, is effective upon the date of acceptance by the Administrator.

They did not do anything but take my money. Please do not have you hard earn money stolen like myself and many others. Like I said before they moved their operation from Irving, TX to Hurst, TX. I am working on the BBB to post their File from Irving, TX. These jokers are crooks, not one time did they do anything to help me. And Mr. Rip-off opps Wright what goes around comes back around.

I am trying my best to get their files from Irving, TX BBB to be included with their new file at Hurst, TX. They have over 40 complaints in Irving, TX, so I guess they had to moved their mailing/P.O. Box address to attack more suckers. They claimed that they made every effort to correct or rather make good on taking my hard earn money. Not at any time did Jeremy Wright called or e-mailed me, nor anyone else from Liberty Debt Management. I have no reason to lie. They are crooks and need to be stop. I hope I can stop them from taking other people money because they are not right. I am a real person that got taken from a real RIP OFF company.

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! Please don't believe the hype! I personally know someone who was completely up against the wall financially and he signed up with these rip-off artists. They told him they will contact all his creditors and didn't. They also took almost $3k of his money for administrative fees. Now he is being sued and Liberty said "Oh well, we told you that could happen! No, we don't get involved with that at all". So he is now being sued and will most likely have to declare bankruptcy so avoid having his wages garnished! Call Consumer Credit Counseling in your area! Suze Orman highly recommends them. It is a SHAME that a company like Liberty Debt Management, Inc is robbing us. They have a terrible record with the BBB of Irving, TX, but somehow they added the Inc. after there Fraud company name, moved to a different city and like that new company with a fresh background.

I am not the only person that gotten robbed from these liers. A lot of hard working people like myself (who was taken like a fool) does not know about this site. They run a con game, I talked with about 8 different people at the Libery Fraud Management and not one of them told the truth.

I emailed and called the President of Liberty Debt Management Jeremy Wright over and over again and I never gotten a response. If you want to lose a few thousand dollars, have your credit score drop to the floor, have your worst credit ever, and file for bankrupty, then by all means let Liberty Debt Management, Liberty Debt Management, Inc (whatever they go by) ruin your life. I work hard for my money to let someone guy who knows the law take advantage of me.

All I want is my money back. This is the first feedback I have gotten from Liberty Debt Management. They had a terrible record with the BBB of Dallas. So how since the moved from their pervious location the link was removed. They rip me off. I called and e-mailed Liberty Debt Management over and over again and not one time I gotten a reply. Research each option carefully, and then choose a company in that arena that you feel will best suit the needs that you are looking for.

Please people do not do buiness with them. They are not right, they know the law and how to cheat us out of our money. They are now using added Inc after they company name and moved there main FRAUD office to 1550 Norwood Drive, Suite 410 Hurst, TX from Irving TX. Now this company is located outside the service area of the Irving BBB bureau. They stole my hard earn money and lied to me.

I know I am not the only one that got their money taken by this scam company. So, anyone that was robbed by this company please post your loss on this site.
