I was contacted over the phone on 1/8/04 by Jennifer Johnson who claimed to be a representative of "Trust Benefit." She stated she got my name from an online credit application I filled out, which I did do. She gave me the business name "Trust Benefit" along with an address (177 Main Street #252 Fort Lee, NJ 07024)and the business phone number (866-260-6166.)
She offered me this GREAT credit card package for a 1 time fee of $299 which would be withdrawn from my checking account on 1/16/04. She stated this was a one time fee and that there was NO annual fees and included in that payment, not only was I going to be recieving a $2000 visa/mastercard (whichever one I preferred)at a low interest rate, I would ALSO recieve free legal representation for a year regarding my credit, and also a credit repair book.
After I agreed, she then switched me over to her supervisor named Jeff who then transferred me to an automated recording for my TRACKING #. Everything sounded wonderful and legit!
For some reason, I decided to look up the company on the internet and had a terrible time locating it! I stumbled across this site and am very thankful I did!
When I saw all the scams pulled off by this company (which also goes by Superior Benefits, World Benefits, Global Benefits, First Approval Benefits, and I'm sure there are more!) I contacted my bank after hour service and they gave me a number that was responsible for the withdrawal. I contacted that number and they were a 3rd party drafting service called Amerinet. They gave me the company's real name World Global Benefits with the correct address (100A Walnut D15 Suite 740 Champlain, NY 12919) and phone number 866-260-6166. I plan on contacting this number on Monday and will keep you up to date!
