This company has changed name several times....I wonder why.  CreditWatch Services, Stopless and Collectrite.  Their mission statement says "We are dedicated to providing superior results while maintaining the highest level of ethics and integrity. Our motivation is to be the premier vendor of choice while maximizing our clients and shareholder values. " Not even close.

I received a phone call and message from Credit Watch Services on 2-12-2011 who informed me that they were attempting to collect a debt. . I immediately called the company back and requested their address and fax number. Instead of the company providing this info, I was place on hold for 7 minutes and sent to a Mr. Jackson. Mr. Jackson refused to provide this info, became angry and hung up the phone. I called back immediately and spoke with Haily. I asked for the address and fax number again but she put me on hold and again sent the call to Mr. Jackson. Mr. Jackson said he was not going to give me that information and said that if I call back again he will collect our recorded phone conversations, and bring harassment charges against me. He then hung up again. I called back a third time, Haily answered and I requested not to be sent back to Mr. Jackson again. She was pleasant but said that he was her supervisor and she had no choice. She again would n
ot provide a fax number. I then got sent back to Mr. Jackson for the third time in which he hung up again. The fifth call provided the same outcome but he did say that no matter who signed for this account, it will still remain my debt. I asked for a copy of the documentation that proves that it was my debt and he refused. He said that it is past the 30 days that I had in order to dispute the debt. I asked him to provide info about when the 30 days started but he hung up for the fifth time. Unbelieveable. A collection company want to file HARRASSMENT CHARGES against me!!!!! OMGosh

I have also received calls from this company in regards to my mothers medical bills that she had not completed paying, they were threatening me with law firm action before I could even tell them that they reached her daughter not her.  They asked why she would give my number and not her own and when I tried to explain this was most likely from a past medical situation if they had my number and she wasn't able to give any information it was a medical emergency they got more belligerent with me and said they would remove my number and hung up.  I called back to find out her name she answered with Why are you calling back?  We have removed your number from this account, I asked for her name and business name she refused to give me any information just told me my mother should learn to pay her bills and have her call them.  I understand that they are a collection agency and customer service is not there "specialty" but they should still have a little common courtesy.   I found out by calling the hospital that my mother uses for her medical care and they informed me of the name and were quick to tell me they no longer use that company for collections due to high volume of complaints and that her debt was from 2009 and that she is currently making payments to them (the hospital).  I did ask if they could do anything about this and they said not until the debt is paid off.  I contacted the hospitals customer relations department and they are looking into this matter for me.  I did explain to them this reflects on them because they used this company for their collections. The only good thing about all this is they reached me instead of my mother.  I would have hated for someone to speak so harsh to my mother.  It seems like they should be charged with mental anguish or elderly abuse if they are talking that way to the elderly that already live on a fixed income.

Talk about needing a bullying law, it should be written with collection agencies like this one included in it!  I believe they would have pushed my mother into paying whatever they wanted just to keep from having to talk to them again or be treated so badly.  I have since found out that this company has had multiple complaints also filed with the BBB and are not accredited with them.

I was contacted by credit watch regarding a medical debt. I called back and set up payment plans and at the end she told me if im unable to pay, call and let them know. Well that time came and I unfortunately i was unable to pay. I called and had the payment extended. When the extended date was comi.g close, I knew the funds were unavailable and I called. I spoke w.a lady who said she didnt even see where i had payments set up. she couldnt tell me who it was sent yo but she did verofy that there wouldnt be any payment deducted. Well, she lied. It was still deducted and when I called they said they had no record of me calling. they couldnt refund the deducted amount and told me too bad. She,Sacylia, was very rude. My agent was also very rude and seemed bithered I even called.

Rebuttal CreditWatch Service Ltd.

AUTHOR: DemonaP - ()

POSTED: Thursday, April 11, 2013

Firstly, CreditWatch Services Ltd. acquired Collectrite, which is a collection agency for medical billings for hospitals/clinics. As far as their mission statement, since they are a payment processing center as well as a collection agency, they are not there to provide you customer service. Debtors owe money in a form whether it be from a service that was provided & never payed for (no matter how you look at it, it is considered stolen goods) or possibly a citation. The company may provide you it's name, mailing address if asked but they don't have to provide anything else for the protection of their employees. I wouldn't feel comfortable with a looney showing up to my workplace. If further information is needed for a lawsuit then the lawyer will obtain that information. Again, CreditWatch Services is a collection agency. Companies contract them in order to collect money for them. They would not be able to provide documentation because they are not the company you owe the debt to. Why would you even bother asking instead of going to the source? Collectors, call center agents, even customer service agents are not allowed to hang up on a client/member/debtor unless he/she is using obscene language or continues to raise their voice over the phone. And yes, any legitimate company is in their right to file harassment charges against consumers. A collection company will not continue to call you if it is against your will. If you ask them to stop calling or inform them that they have the wrong number, they will simply verify information to make sure you are not the person they are trying to contact. Why go to court or have something posted in your credit report when you could take a minute to cooperate & have them take your number out of a system or inform you that you owe money to so & so hospital/clinic? If you are indeed the person they are trying to get in contact with but still do not want to cooperate then they will simply mark the account a certain status & it goes somewhere else subject to litigation as well as posted in your credit report. So that new car you wanted to buy, that new house, or wherever else they check your credit on... you won't get it. Just wanted to put that out there because I'm a consumer too. First thing I do when I come across a company I've never experienced is web search it. This is the only report I see that says in one way or another that this company could be a scam or hoax. If you truly believe that, wait for that s**t to pop up on your credit report & wait for that letter from the attorney's office & you'll really regret thinking so. A mere $100.00 citation or bill turns into court fees, lawyer compensation, wasted time, & not to mention a court order for you to pay the money owed with interest incurred.
