they are really something, I was behind on a car pymet in july for 160.00, that i forgot that i only partially paid. however my subsequent pymts of 360.00 were made promptly.

then in the last week of sept i hear that all to familiar ringing/pringing in my ears of a pymt due from that device that was im planted in the car. i called them to mention that i chk'd my records and that yes only a partial pymt was made a another one would be forth-coming. in their infinite wisdom two days later they killed the car.

i made the pymts then the car was turned baCK ON.
I WAS TOLD that this action was totally illegal.
and to make matters really petty. when i called credit accept to make sure that they rec'd the pymt, i was told that there was a bal of .32.
u know where they can stick the .32 dont u ??!!

"They" did not kill your car, due to you defaulting on the payment and the payment system indicating you have a deliquent balance on the account a signal is sent to the car to disable it. This is all done automaticallty and there is nothing that cab be done to stop it. I can assure you the action is not illegal as you signed a contarct at the time of purchase that indicates your car will be disabled for non-payment (and partial payments count as non-payment).

You have no one to be angry with other than yourself. You signed a contract and agreed to pay $X every month and failure to do that is considered defaulting on your agreement event if it is just one day late. I would also advise paying that .32 if you have not already done so. I have seen companies that will assess late fee on deliquent balances (and .32 is considered a deliquent balance) which could result in balance on your account and your car being disabled again.
