I was having trouble with VERIZON WIRELESS when i heard about cricket and their low cost service. I attended a cricket retail that was advertising a free phone when you sign up for cricket. when i went in i bought a motorola 420 phone and was charged $89.99 for it. I asked why it wasn't free and they said its only free once the mail in is sent back to you in the mail. i asked how it works and the guy straight up lied to my face saying it was automatic after 90 days while i was looking at a mail in rebate flyer taped to the desk. it said in fine print, that prior to the 90 days i must send in the rebate. I looked at him and told him that it says here that i have to mail in this form. after saying that, he took his cashier colleague into the back and spoke in spanish to eachother, only parts of which i could understand. I could not conclude their conversation, but when they came out, the guy i was dealing with said to fill out the form and mail it in. I asked if it was possible to drop it by the actual store. he said i HAD to mail it in. I left the store and went back the next day to find they had taken the flyer off the desk, and overheard them talking to another new customer and told her she did not have to fill any mail-in paperwork and that it was automatic.

Next i found my bill was about $30.00 more than it should have been. I asked why this was and they said i had purchased flex bucket. I admit to this, however they said that the rest was taxes. Taxes are normally only about $7.00 I also checked on this and they charge an extra $6.00 just to pay the bill. I waited for more than 90 days and did not get the mail in money, and of course, they insisted that i never mailed it in.

i cannot recieve good connections even smack in the middle of the calling area. My phone drops about half the calls, and sometimes i recieve calls from people who hadn't got the new number. caller id's still say the previous owner.oh. and cricket secretly charged my friend with purchasing flex bucket several times, and no matter how or as many times as he tried they would not cooperate. I would not recommend these deceptive cheapskates who seem to charge just like any other phone company. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE SUCKERS!!!!!  Oh and i forgot to mention, that the 411 service does not seem to understand listings, and the customer service is terrible, the agents have very rude attitudes, AND when trying to log on to MYCRICKET, it tells me that i am not an existing customer.
