I went to One Stop Wireless to buy a Cell phone and i did a kyocera Slider service provider Cricket and i asked if the phone was New and he said yes so i bought it and then i reccomanded it to my niece so she bought one also her screen was defective so we went back up their and i asked about insurance because he never gave me the option at the time of purchase and he told me no and i asked why and he said that the phone is cheap and my reply was you should have told me that before i bought it an he didn't want to replace my nieces screen we had to argue with this man to get him to do it so we told him it hasn't been the full seven day warrenty so she wanted her money back and he would do it even tho it's has signs stating that he would so i contacted Cricket who say's that the phones are New but i just had a feeling so i kept investigating and i called Kyocera they agreed with me that the phone is refurbished Cricket is still saying that they are new and i have a statement from Kyocera saying it's refurbished they know it's not new because they are the one that bought the phone from Kyocera so they know and sold they to the dealers so there playing games we spent about $350.00 and with one cell phone that cuts on and off by itself so my niece had to have it cut off because it wasn't no point to keep it on and pay $50.00 for voice mail and her phone broke down on the fourth day she had it and now my phone is having problems but the only warrenty we have will cost us money that we shouldn't have to pay One Stop Wireless and Cricket was misleading they used Improper selling practices and unsatisfactory service they sold us a product as new and they new it was used it was deceitful and now aren't willing to do anything about it

Corporate Headquarters can't fix issue really....

AUTHOR: M - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, July 14, 2007

Tyler, I know you're trying to help this past customer achieve a solution to her problem, but with this type issue, Corporate Headquarters couldn't have directly fixed her problem. Besides, it was OneStop Wireless who sold a phone fraudulently to her, not Cricket, since it was only an AUTHORIZED DEALER. All that Corporate could do in this case would be to strip OneStop Wireless of its authorization to sell phones for Cricket's service.

Unfortunately Marilyn, Cricket was right - to Cricket it was probably considered a "new" phone since it had probably never been activated in their system before you activated it. Also, Cricket could NOT have been sued in this instance for it was NOT Cricket who sold you the phone.....it was OneStop Wireless, who is an "INDIRECT DEALER" for Cricket. Yes, you cannot sell something that is used as "new", however, the term "refurbished" (also called "remanufactured") means that the phone is "like new" as it has [usually] been run through the factory process again to repair any broken parts. Unfortunately in this case, that didn't happen, and the phone still didn't function correctly.

Corporate Headquarters contact info for Cricket Wireless

AUTHOR: Tyler - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 10, 2007

Cricket is owned by:
Leap Wireless International
10307 Pacific Center Court
San Diego, California 92121
Tel: 858-882-6000
Fax: 858-882-6010

I had a issue with Cricket that over 15 calls to Customer Service could not resolve.
Called Corporate number above and was connected to a administrative office for my market and received a call back within 2 hours from a Customer Service Manager. My issue was resolved during the phone call.

Remember who sold you the phone....

AUTHOR: M - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 21, 2006

Remember who sold you the phone Marilyn. It was OneStop Wireless, not Cricket. All Cricket can do is see whether the phone has been activated in their system before. Remember Cricket does NOT manufacture the phones. All OneStop can do is sell them, refurbished or new. If they sell them as "new", then THEY frauded you, not Cricket.

Cricket did know that the phone where refurbished but are still lying about it.When you buy something used you can't sell it as new. That's fraud in a nut shell.

Have a wondeful life.

I know that you may know some law, but.....

AUTHOR: M - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 18, 2006

Again, you must realize that you dealt with an Authorized DEALER for Cricket, meaning that they are ONLY authorized to sell phones for Cricket's service. Neither Cricket nor the dealer are phone manufacturers. It was the DEALER who frauded you, not Cricket. They represent Cricket ONLY as a seller of phones. Cricket CANNOT be held liable for the dealer's fraud. The dealer is NOT Cricket, and the dealer is supposed to make sure that they sell phones in their correct condition. I've seen many people that have misunderstood what the dealer was selling them, and THOUGHT they were buying new phones, but when I asked them for the price, they say "I bought it new for $50" or something like that. Sorry, but new phones are NOT $50, unless a rebate is given. ALWAYS check the "before rebate" price.

If that dealer is selling used phones as "new", then contact Cricket about that. Cricket is good at dropping authorization for dealers that misrepresent phones. Also contact the Better Business Bureau as well to report them.

One thing you can tell if the phone is used or not is by the "original" price, meaning BEFORE rebates. If the price of the phone is less than retail, it MAY be used. The new Dorado and Milan phones are $99-129 retail. Any camera phone starts at $169-179, typically.

(I know I'm being nit-picky with this, but when you're writing/typing online, please try to make complete sentences. Some of your responses were hard to follow because all of them were a long run-on sentence. I could figure out what you were saying because I'm pretty good at proofreading. I'm not trying to make you look stupid or anything, just letting you know for future reference so that you're not misunderstood.)

You dealt with an INDIRECT dealer for Cricket....

AUTHOR: M - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 14, 2006

I understand what you are angry about. But here's where your problem lies....you dealt with an INDIRECT dealer that sells phones for Cricket's wireless service. You did NOT deal with Cricket directly. So your complaint is really with the dealer, and not with Cricket. Cricket's service is great if it fits your needs.

As for the phone, dealers can sell any phone that's made for Cricket's service. Some will even sell phones and "flash" them for Cricket's service (it's not guaranteed to work though. If it doesn't work, that's on the company who "flashed" it and ultimately on you since you bought it). Anyways, Cricket's service was advertised correctly, but it was the dealer who duped you. You can try taking the dealer to the Better Business Bureau, but that's about all you can do.

I would recommend next time going to the Cricket Retail Store in your area rather than just dealing with an INDIRECT dealer. When you deal directly with the company, you get better results. Indirect dealers can ONLY sell you a phone. They cannot look at your billing account, or give you any other information. They're ONLY authorized to sell phones....and that's ALL.

Again, your beef is with One Stop Wireless, and not with Cricket. It was the DEALER who sold you the phone and misrepresented the information about the phone. It was the DEALER who frauded you, not Cricket.

update one stop wireless

AUTHOR: Marilyn - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 09, 2006

The owner of One Stop Wireless said that he willing to exchange the phone with the box phone charger receipt and i don't think that will be any good because i don't want to business with them anymore because of how deceitful they were before also they said that the phone's were refurbished and Cricket is still in denial about it.
