On June 11th I made a bridge pay so that my phones would not be disconnected. The remained balance was due today, June 19. On June 13th both of my phones where disconnected even though I had made a bridge payment. I spent 4 hours and 45 minutes on the phone with the 1-800 number, most of which was on hold! I was told there was nothing they could do about my phones being disconnected uless I wanted to pay the balance owed for both phones! I finally got a hold of a corporate office, which is about 50 minutes from my house. I went in showed them my receipts and told them what was going on and they fixed the problem and my phones where back on within 15 minutes. Today I went in to my local sales center to pay my remaining balance and noticed it was a little more than normal. The sales associate agreed and called, once again the 1-800 number where the proceeded to tell her I was being charged an extra $5 per line because of late fees. When the associate told them I had not been late and that she had the receipt and payment info on her computer they proceeded to argue with her. Needless to say, NO ONE will do anything about the overage and I am suppose to just be okay with paying an extra $10. I am mad that my phones were disconnected to begin with. I had to spend half a day getting them to fix their own mistake and now I am being charged extra because they say I was late when I have all my documentation and they don't even want to stick with it. Cricket does not care about their customers they only care about making the initial sale. They make thier money from phone sales and could care less if you stayed with them or not! FYI boost offers a better plan and has better coverage area. I think I am ready for a move, but will be filing a complaint with the FCC.

The extra $5 fees were not late fees...
AUTHOR: M - (U.S.A.)

The extra $5.00 per line that you incurred were payment fees for paying at a "Full Service Cricket Store" (Corporate-owned Cricket store). Cricket DOES charge a $5.00 payment fee when paying at the Corporate-owned Cricket store or over the phone with a customer service representative. However, the agent should NOT have charged you $5.00 PER LINE to pay your bill.
When you go pay your bill at the local sales center (most likely an "authorized payment center" or "authorized dealer"), you pay a $3.00 fee IN ADDITION TO your monthly bill in order to pay your payment.
The ONLY payment option that are currently FREE for Cricket customers are:
1) paying through www.mycricket.com
2) paying your bill through your bank Online Banking & BillPay system (provided that your bank doesn't charge you for Online Banking & BillPay.
I would go back to the Corporate store and request to speak with a manager telling him/her that the $5.00 payment fees should be removed since the previous rep you spoke with didn't explain that there would be a $5.00 fee to make your payment at that store.
