Cricket I had canceled my services with cricket, they still pulled out the 46.66 of my account and now they do not want to post it back into my account because they said I canceled to late. That is not true I canceled in the begining of the month and my bill was not due until the 8th of March San Diego Internet

*UPDATE EX-employee responds: Like I've said before...Cricket is going to go out of business if they continue down this path....

I lost my phone so I called 1800-cricket to cancel my services. I was told to go into the store and that they would give me 50.00dls off. I told them that I would check it out but if they where to expensive I would call back to cancel and so they could put the 46.66dls back into my account on the 5th of March, by the way my bill was not due until the 8th of March. I called on the 6th or 7th and cancelled the service. I was told that cricket would contact me within 24 to 48 hrs and that after that it would take for up the 7 days for the amount of 46.66 to be posted back into my account. I never heard back from them so on the 11th of March I decided to call them again, It is a whole different story; now they are saying that I waited to long to cancel my services and because of that, that they could not refund me the money. I asked for a supervisor that hardly spoke any english. It was like taking to a wall. What happened to good ethics?????

Cricket customer service is going downhill. Their reps are just ignorant and probably trained incorrectly now. Here is what I do know about disconnecting your service:

1) When you call to disconnect your service, it CAN take up to 48 hrs to disconnect.
2) The rep that said "Cricket will call you in 24-48 hrs" was LYING. Cricket reps CANNOT call you back as they do NOT have the capability to do so. Why? Because it's an INBOUND call center.
3) IF you had automatic bill payment setup on your account, it WILL take 7-14 business days for Cricket to credit back the charge. Cricket's system auto-drafts the credit card on file 7 days before the bill is due. This is why they CANNOT stop it on the day before your bill is due.

You did NOT wait too long to cancel your services. IF your bill was due on the 8th of the month and you called on the 7th to disconnect it, you would NOT have another bill cycle...and therefore NOTHING would be due. The ONLY time you would have a bill due on your due date is if your account was a "post-pay" account (meaning you pay for your service AFTER you use it rather than a month ahead).

Hopefully, you will be able to get back your money...

(Oh, and just a tip...Cricket has become so cheap that they allow an outsourced company to use reps from INDIA to take their calls. STUPID DECISION. I actually used to work in the US-based call center for Cricket Communications back in 2004-2005.)
