Cricket I ordered a phone and service. The very next day, I called to cancel my order. I was told that I could not cancel my order. I spent hours on the phone with uninformed customer service people, rude customer service people, and one guy even said, "This company does not give refunds". I did not accept delivery of the phone and it was returned via FEDEX. They refuse to refund my money. Plainfield Indiana

I ordered a phone and service from Cricket. The very next day, I called to cancel my order. I was told that I could not cancel my order. I spoke to approximatel10 customer service people (csr). All had conflicting information. I was advised to accept delivery of the phone. I did not accept delivery from FEDEX. Today, the phone arrived back to Plainfield, verified by the FEDEX tracking webpage. I called customer service. First, the csr told me they didn't receive it. The she said that they did receive it, after I told her of the FEDEX tracking info. Then she said that I didn't have an RA number so I would not get a refund. No one ever gave me an RA number when I called to cancel my order. I requested to speak to her supervisor, and was put on hold foe 5 minutes. I then hung up.

I am talking about 217.00. I want my money refunded. I suspected that this would happen after I tried to cancel the order I tried to put a stop payment on it but was unable. I would welcome a call from an attorney in this matter. I have read that these are normal business practices for Cricket. Surely, they deserve to be sued.

Not a RipOff..

You didn't follow the guidelines for a return and probably should have listened to the CSR who said to accept the package. Had you accepted the phone you then could have called and get the RA number required. At that time you could have returned it and received a refund on the items that could be refunded. Any attorney is going to tell you the same thing...You don't have a case.

Directly from their web site:


Cricket allows returns of phones within 30 days of the ship date.

Phones returned to Cricket will be inspected for damage and use.

Phones must be returned with 30 minutes or less of use (talk time) on the phone and must be in "like new" condition.

Phones that are returned in damaged or water damaged condition will not be accepted.

Accessories may not be returned to Cricket for a refund. All accessory sales are final.

Shipping charges and activation fees are non-refundable.

To return a phone for a refund, follow the instructions below.

Call Cricket at 1-866-384-4425 to request a Return Authorization (RA) number within in 30 days of the order date. Phones that are returned without an RA number will not be processed.
Pack the phone and included accessories (charger, battery, instructions, etc.) in its original box and shipping carton.
Write the RA number in several places on the outside of the package. This helps Cricket identify your package.
Packages must be mailed within 14 days of receiving an RA number. Please be sure to ship your package within the appropriate time frame.
