I could go on for hours as to how Cristobal Arreola, The Riverside Dept of child support services, Dan Goossen Tutor Promotions (chris's promoter and employer), Henry Ramirez(chris's trainer and manager), and various others, who are greatly involved in Chris's career have sat back idle, doing absolutley nothing to resolve or assist, in this ongoing issue of Chris's lack of responsibility when paying child support for our 11 yr old son. Chris's excuse for not paying child support is, that he is not sure that our son is his.

Or  he will claim that he was not aware of our child being born until our son was 3 years old. My favorite excuse to date is, that he can count on his hands how many times we have hooked up... (like it takes more than 10 times to get pregnant having unprotected sex) None of which is true. I have never denied Chris the opportunity to take a paternity test, nor have i denied him access to be involved in our son's life. When I discovered I was pregnant with our child, I was actively enrolling into the US Marines Corp.

I immediately tried to contact Chris by phone. The number was no longer in service. With that, I sent a letter to chris's last known address. After no response i figured out what ultimately became true, that Chris refused to be involved in our son's life in any way, shape, or form. Being young and not wanting to have an abortion, I went through my pregnancy alone. I moved back to my hometown of Illinois and resided there until my mother started having health issues in the last months of my pregnancy. Which is what brought me back to California. 

Upon arriving to California, again I tried contacting chris by mail. Again no response. I also sent Chris another letter shortly after our son was born to let him know he had a son. One day I ran into one of our mutual associates named Alex. He confronted me about having a baby by Chris. I confirmed his questions and asked him to have Chris contact me asap.  At this time our son was about 6 months old.

While out at the Orange Blossom, a community event that used to be held in downtown riverside, I ran into Chris and his wife Erin Bunnell. The expression on his face begged me not to say anything. I knew of Erin and Chris's relationship while Chris and I were seeing each other.  Out of respect, i didnt approach them. In my eyes at the time, she had nothing to do with Chris and my situation, and it was not my place to explain Chris and my relationship to her, that was his responsibility. This was not our last time bumping into each other in passing.

While out hanging with friend one night we went to a local bar name Incahoots. Chris approached me obviously drunk, questioning our son's whereabouts and asking if he could have a picture of our son. Not wanting to have anymore events such as this, and after speaking with a close friend about my situation, she informed me of my legal rights as the custodial parent, and advised that i get help from Riverside Dept of Child Support Services. At this time i was renting out a room from 2 elderly women and working part-time at K-Mart on Blaine Ave.

My money was really tight, and I was seriously considering going to the Dept. of Social Services to get benefits from the county to help raise our son. After meeting with Child Support they assured me they would do all they could to enforce Child Support. I was also advised by one of the Child Support workers to try to resolve the issue with Chris first, before getting benefits from the county of Riverside. With that I decided to stop by the house of Chris's last known address.

Once there I formally met Chris's mother Lucy and his siblings (all of them) His sister interpretated for me, being as his mother's english was very broken. I sat with her for hours talking about my relationship with Chris and informed her of our son. She then asked if I would be willing to bring our son over so that she could see him. I did. In fact when i came back not only was Chris's siblings and mother there, she also brought over her boyfriend, Chris, Erin and their young daughter Danae. Chris was highly upset that i was there.

He didnt speak to me nor our son. Instead he gathered up Erin and their daughter and they left in his black Tahoe. Leaving me, his mother and siblings to continue talking. This is when she told me that Chris was heavily involved in boxing. She asked if that is why I was came around now. I went on to explain to her that I had in fact been trying to locate and communicate with Chris since I found out about my pregnancy. Zeleney chris's younger sister confirmed this by talking about the letters that I had sent.

Chris's mom in turn told me that she believed me that our son looked just like Chris and asked if she could take my son to East Los Angeles to meet his other family members. Unsure of allowing her to take my son with her without me, I went against what i felt. For the sake of my son I allowed her to take my son to visit with specific instructions and a time to return him. She then left with our son and her children. When she returned she told me that she wished she could be involved, but explained that Chris covered the families finances and would not allow her to be involved in ours son's upbringing.

I then informed her that I was sorry that she was put in that situation, but as a mother and chris being my son's father he was still obligated to pay child support weather he wanted to be involved or not. I then informed her that i would be going to Dept of Social Services for monetary assistance and they would require me to go after him with child support. Lucy then supplied me with all of the information that i needed as far as his personal information for the noncustodial father so that Child support could contact Chris.

A long story short Child support said that Chris told him that his occupation was a landscaper and I was awared $249.00 a month for child support. Shortly after I started receiving checks  for $50.00. I was leary to cash the checks not knowing where the checks were coming from. I called the number on the slip that came with the checks, and confirmed these checks were for child support. I continued to receive these $50.00 checks until my son was a little over a year old. I had just found not one, but two jobs and was well on my way to being self suffient.

Then one day i came home to a check of over $2,000.00. Amazed and scared, again I called the number to confirm this was a child support check. This check was a far cry from $50.00 and I didnt want to be held responsible to pay the money back if there was an error. After confirming this too was a child support check, I received my first call from Chris in years. He was highly upset and complaining that his wife had filed taxes and the money was taken from her bank account to pay for child support. 

We had a very unpleasant conversation that resulted in me hanging up the phone on him. We didnt talk for at least another few months. After researching my rights and the California Laws i continued to stay in contact with the Dept of Child Support services. Months had gone by and I hadnt received any more child support payments so i contacted child support to inquire about status of my case. I noticed that the treatment I received from child support was very harsh, not customer service oriented.

I was basically told that since Chris was self employed that i would have to wait for his employer to pay him before getting paid. Ultimately, I discovered that since i wasnt receiving benefits from the county anymore my case really didnt mean anything. Child support didnt make money off of my case. Any money that was paid for child support went directly to me. After years of lies, misleading information, verbal and written complaints, and waiting for calls back from a supervisors and umbudspersons to return my call.

I finally had reach my patience level and obtained an attorney. After retaining the attorney I found out not only was Child support not interested in my case, I also discovered, for 2 yrs after terminating my county assistance that Child Support flat out stopped attempting to collect child support for my case altogether. Out of the 10 years that my case had been opened, Child Support has done nothing but enable Chris to break the law and not own up to his obligations. When I call Child Support re non payment, they treat me like im the parent  that is not supporting my child.

The Riverside Dept of Child support services was able to intercept a loan on Chris's house back in 2010 and immediately closed my case without my knowledge. I found out the very next day and went to the office directly. There I spoke with a worker named Lisa Tortamassi. She is one of the rudest women i have ever met in my life. When i proved that Child Support was incorrect in their actions, Lisa Tortamassi looked me in my face and told me, " What has been done has been done, and there is nothing you can do about it!"

Offended, is an understatement as to how I felt. I requested her supervisor and she informed me that there was no one above her. With that i filed a written complaint to have an unbudsperson follow up with me. This person was Mrs. Brookes, she basically spent the week lying to me. She called and told me that she found the errors, and would be issuing a check for the past arrears considering the evidence i had that the dept of child support was not doing their jobs. Weeks later i found out that they kept over $10,000.00 and issued me a check for a little over $2,000.00.

Outraged i went to my attorney and we filed a motion in family court. My child support order was raised from $249.00 to $2.588.00. During this frustrating time in dealing with child support without an attorney. I was in constant contact with Henry Ramirez contacted me one day from a message that i sent to Chris on Myspace about assisting in financially helping with our son. Henry, who took it upon his self to respond to one of my many requests for Chris help. Henry constantly emailed and messaged me on Myspace about Chris and my past relationship.

He assured me that he was talking with Chris to do the right thing and pretended to care, unbeknowing to me he was only assuring that i would not go public about our son.  This was around the time of Chris's fight with Klitschko. I informed Henry that I had an attorney, and we were in the process of taking Chris to court. Henry continuously asked how much Chris owed and asked if there was a dollar amount i was willing to take to stop this action. I informed him that i was willing to work with Chris but we would have enter into a contract with my attorney first.

Ultimately Chris contacted me back and asked if we could meet with my attorney and work out an agreement before going to court with this. I agreed, we scheduled an appointment with my attorney, and in Chris's normal fashion He never showed up to the appointment. He tried cancelling the appointment 15 mins. before the appointment. With that my attorney advised that we continue with the court proceedings.  After about a year I finally got a bit of good news.

Even though Gosseen Tutor Promotions went against the court order and didnt send out the correct amount for child support from Chris's purse, that the court was ordering that Chris is charged the $2,588. for the past 7 months and also a warrent for his arrest due to non payment of child support.  With that almost immediately I was given a payment for over $25,000.00 for past due child support.  Since then i have only received 3 or 4 payments.

Our conversations are pretty brutal and go nowhere. He plainly doesnt want to pay child support and clearly is able to do so. Ive talked with child support until i was purple in the face, and they do nothing more than sit on their hands and enable Chris to not pay child support. I figure if enough people know the truth they will understand, or maybe even able to convince Chris to do what is right. He can only run behind his excuses for so long.

While Chris is hiding, our son is growing older into a smart  young man. Maybe this report will make Chris look at hisself and the hurdles he went through without having his father in his life. Or make Goossen tutor promotions more accountable for their own actions because technically they are breaking the law.  As of today's date the amount of child support owed to me is $21,946.38 the amount previous to November 2011 is $19,358.38.
