CROSS COUNTRY BANK VISA rip-off Boca Raton Florida

I had a Visa card issued through Cross Country Bank in 1996. I, through my own fault, got arrears and deliquent on the account and it was sent to collections. I made the required charge-off payment in early 2001 which left a Zero balance. I knew that the charge-off would be reflected on my credit reports fot 7 or more year.

I recentlty attempted to purchase a new home and found that all three major credit reporting agencies shows the charge-off, but still showed a balance. I worked through the Morgage Company and credit agency to get this corrected to no avail.

When I contacted Cross Country Bank, I was told that I need to fax them the credit report so they can fix the problem. I told them that it was their mistake to correct and I should not have to do this. To make a long story shorter I closed on my has and my credit report still has not changed.

Today I contacted them again and they stated "they cannot control the practices of the credit reporting agencies for not reporting correctly." My point is thst it is highly unprobrable for all 3 to post the same error unless Cross Country screwed up. I requested a copy of the paid in full charge-off letter and will contact the credit myself. STAY AWAY FROM CROSS COUNTRY BANK!!!
