Cross Country Bank Is ripping me off!

Greetings all,

I paid of my entire balance and asked that my cc account be closed. After getting assurances from the woman on the phone that my entire balance was paid in full and my account is closed, I went on with my life..this was November 28, 2001.

Now last week I have CCB calling me saying that i owe over $100.00!?! How can that be? I paid off my whole balance and now they are saying that my account is still open. WHAT!!!! Now i recieve 4 phone calls per day starting at 7:00am until 10:00pm at night.

Everytime they call its the same thing.. They ask for payment, and i say how could i owe money if my account was supposed to be closed 2 months ago.

Anyway, next time they call i will let them now that my lawyer will get a copy of every phone call so i can sue them for harrassment. Title 15>chapter14 US Code Sec 1692d item 5. Protects everyone from frequent to the point of harrasing phone calls from collectors. They won't get away with this!
