Cross Country Bank ripoff Fraudulent, Excessive Charges and refused to refund over payment on account Boca Raton Florida

I worked for over a year to clean up my credit report and get better scores. I managed to get approved for a reputable credit card and did a balance transfer of my cross country account after dealing with those scumballs for over 3 years.

I always paid my payment on time and yet they managed to sneak fees in on me and my balance never really got any lower. I called them a few days after the billing cycle to find out what my total balance was after closing out my account. They told me the amount and I paid it in full with a balance transfer. In the interim they credited back my annual fee. (Only after I raised hell and was suprised they actually credited anything to me)

This meant I had an overpayment on my account. I checked my account online to verify and found that they had charged me finance charges before the closing of the billing cycle and after I had already paid the BALANCE IN FULL! They informed me that they can charge finance charges anytime they want which is total Bullshit! I know how the law works with billing cycles and credit accounts.

They then became beligerent with me on the phone and refused to send my refund amount out even though I had overpaid on my account. Their response was that "they dont have to issue a refund for overpayment on accounts". I informed them that "BY LAW YOU HAVE TO REFUND OVERPAYMENTS ON ACCOUNTS". They still refused. I have since filed a complaint with the attorney general for the state of california where I reside and with the FTC.

I wish someone would sue these bastards and take them out of business for good. I am so glad I got rid of that account!
