Cross Country Bank ripoff I'm getting a late charge for making my payment early!! Boca Raton Florida

I paid my monthly payment (due on the 30th each month) on 8/5/04.When I got my statement I noticed I owe a 92.00 payment by the 30th. I called to get this corrected and was told I had made the payment one (1) day too early to have it slated for my August payment. Then I was informed I do need to make the 92.00 payment on or before the 30th or I will be charged a late fee and have to make a double payment in Sept.

While speaking with a "supervisor" I asked if it made sense that I would make a 110.00 payment IN August and NOT expect it would be regarded AS my monthly payment?? My July payment (also 110.00) was paid in July (13th). I was told there was nothing she could about it and I'd have to make another payment,"if you had made the payment on 8/6/04 it WOULD be this months pmt.".

I have paid other credit cards "early" and when I found the payment hadn't beed applied to the correct month, I contact the customer service office where they amend my bill showing that month's payment as recieved. NEVER had a problem with any other "bank".

I have been wracking my brain trying to figure how I should or can handle another payment this month. I'm not a flake I pay my bills , if I'm late ,I pay for being late...it's my fault.

I paid off my "Gold" CCB last month. I had canceled both CCB cards over a year and a half ago so have only been making payments.In all this time w/o me charging anything , this "Silver Preferred" card has been eating me alive. My limit is 2250.00 .....my balance is down to 2001.07, making payments of between 70.00 and 110.00....Where'd the money go???

The charge for credit insurance..which I can not cancel or use, is an on going charge....that and the 26.99% interest rate are keeping my balance from going down. Now they want to penalize me for paying early not to mention more than the mimium pmt.

After careful concideration, I've decided IF my payment isn't credited for this month CCB can kiss my *##. They won't see another dime from me. They can harass me all they want, they will soon tire of MY LANGUAGE!

According to the CCB "Job Info" they have over 3 million customers. Wouldn't it be fitting if their 3 million customers stopped paying them and sued the hell out of them ,instead of enabling them to treat us...THEIR BREAD AND BUTTER....like a bunch of sheep... they charge us this...add that..change whatever...And we go along/pay more because we think we have to!

Loan Sharking is not legal...I HOPE. There should be standards/rules that apply to this company's business(es) practices.

Not paying will hurt me and anyone else who chooses not to pay.. but by the Grace of GOD it will eventually put these people OUT OF BUSINESS.....THERE IS NO DEBTOR'S PRISON....####-EM.
