This company sounds good on paper. It was even recomended by my Home Mortgage Company, one of the largest in the US. But this company, Cross Country Home Services is just about the worst company I have EVER delt with in my 60 years of living on this earth!

You pay them a healthy monthly fee so that when something goes wrong with your Appliances, your A/C or your Heating, you can call them and have it fixed or replaced.....sort of like Health Insurance for your home....HA!

Ever delt with your Health Insurance Company over a medical claim that should have been paid? Trust me, dealing with your Health Care provider is 100 times easier than dealing with this company. My A/C went down over two weeks ago and I called them immediately. The next day someone from a local Heating & A/C company was at my house. I thought, hey, this is OK. They looked over the problem, said I needed a new Coil and that they would have to call Cross Country Home Services to see how they wanted to proceed. Since then I have called Cross Country 10 times, and I know nothing more today than I did the first day I called them. Tonight, I called Cross Country Home Services (24-7 Customer Service you know) and was put on hold for 26 minutes. I have been given a slightly different answer each time I call. Now, they tell me my case has been sent to Purchasing.....I don't know why!!

All I know is that I have been without Air Conditioning for over two weeks and I am getting NOWHERE with their so called Customer Service.
I have no idea when my A/C unit will be fixed, but be assured they will be after my monthly premium in a few days. If anyone from Cross Country Home Services ever calls you, hang up the phone and run, don't walk away from them.

THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DELT WITH....PERIOD!

Just so you guys know, these types of negative stories, about Cross Country Home Servives and Total Protect, are written every day. Take it from someone on the inside. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I think a Class Action suit should be in order if you really should have been covered under the warranty. I agree Cross Country Home Services, HMS National & Total Protect are out for money, they don't even care so much about their employees, especially in Anderson SC. Watch out for CCAS, Cross Country Automotive Services. They will RIP you OFF too.
