On 5 Oct 2008, I ordered a Barnett Predator AVI crossbow through Crossbow Ware House's online service. The first sign of terrible customer service was the lack of notification that the item had been shipped and that it arrived in 4 days not 3 as advertised and paid for.
On 15 Oct the main string broke while on the target range. I had the string replaced and returned to the range in less than an hour. The second string began to fray, so I took it back to the Archery shop and they recommended I return it as it appear to be either a limb or CAM issue..most likely alignment.

On 15 Oct, I emailed Crossbow Warehouse and they responded with "we do not accept returned crossbows". I contacted Barnett directly and they contacted Crossbow Warehouse who in turn contacted me again with a return address and acceptance of the returned item with a promise from boht for a full refund.

I mailed the entire package back just as I received it in the original box and packing. It was received by Crossbow Warehouse on 22 Oct 2008 (USPS Tracking at own expense). That's right; Crossbow Warehouse did not even offer to pay the return fees for a faulty product and only accepted the return when contacted directly by Barnett.

Since 22 Oct, I have sent numerous emails to Crossbow Warehouse using their contact link on their webpage. I have also called numerous times and left message yet have not received a single acknowledgement that they received the package or if/when I would receive the refund as promised.


On 21 Nov 08 (30 days after they received the return), I filed a BBB complaint and as of 2 Dec, they have neither responded to me or BBB. I highly recommend all hunters stay away from this company as they obviously only want your money and have no interest in the quality of the product or providing the customer with a resolotion to any issue.

Crossbow Warehouse is under new ownership as of 2/1/09.

The new owners are reputable and are proud of a 30 year long relationship with the hunting industry. We have also been awarded a preferred vendor status with Barnett Outdoors, one of the leading suppliers of crossbows in the world.
We are sorry for the past owners of the crossbow warehouse site. They are not good people and they had no experinece in the hunting or crossbow business.

Crossbow Warehouse rip Off Update

As of 8 Dec, the package I sent to Crossbow Warehouse for a refund, which they received on 22 Oct, was returned to me unopened. I tried to contact their published phone number but it is no longer in service.

I had to call the manufacture, Barnett Crossbows, directly and now they are promising to refund the product in full and send UPS to pick up the package.
What kind of company does not respond to email request and disconnects their phone? 6 weeks after they received the package they agreed to refund in full, it arrives at my house with not one indication from them on the status of the return. I recommend any and everyone considering buying any product from Crossbow Warehouse to run as fast as you can to any other distributor. They have no respect for the customer and only wnat your money.
