Cruise America Dirty RV with a lot of shortcomings Denver Colorado

I have one recommendation, don't choose Cruise America!

We made a trip in June and paid more than €1.500 for a camper of 2008 with a lot of shortcomings. The toilet was flooding all the time, when we turned on the water pump or used the city water connection. A lamp cover fell twice on the head of our 3 year old son. The showerfaucet leaked. The luggage/service covers on the outside did not close well or were difficult to open. The sink was clogged with hair from other renters. A kitchen drawer could not be closed properly, so it opened all the time during driving. Cabinet door handle came loose.

The RV was also dirty, if you inspect close enough (which we did not do unfortunately. Lesson learned for the future). During the nights there was still a lot of light coming in, through the ceiling windows. (So if you prefer to sleep in the dark, be prepared to use extra towels…)

We also had to buy half of our personal kit, because they didn't have enough towels and linen. They only told us about the missing towels, they had forgotten to mention that there were no bed linens, which we discovered when just before going to bed. Due to our planned route we were not able to buy new linens for a week. The camper kit was limited with no hangers for the clothes in the closet, no frying pan, no bottle opener, no safety fuses, no sewer connector (donut) that is required at a lot of campsites.

My recommendation is that you pay more money for a good comfortable camper with a good service and not with such a commercial rental organisation as Cruise America. A last tip would be, to always inspect the camper in great detail!
