Crumiller PC Susan Crumiller Doesn't do what she's paid to do. NYC New York

After receiving a survey form from the NYC Bar Legal Referral Service asking for my experience with Susan Crumiller, I decided to make this report. I thought I was finally getting a break. Other attorney's who represent just tenants, charge $350 for just consulting. You can't retain them, their that arrogant, they can afford to be, there are so few doing this work.

I went to Susan Crumiller because I really needed help. No one else was doing anything; none of the city agencies. Housing Court wasn't. I thought she would advocate, fight, and be my voice. I didn't know what I was doing. I thought she did. I trusted her. When you pay someone $3,000 you expect them to do what they say they will.

I scrimped and saved to put together enough money to pay for an attorney. denying myself things that I really need. I was  naive in thinking because she was a woman she would have more incentive to fight for me. It's just the opposite. I'm afraid to say anything, I have to walk on egg shells. I'm frustrated. I can't get angry. so I have to stuff it in, as a result I'm extremely depressed.

I knew from the beginning I wouldn't prevail. She just wasn't trying. Instead they're still getting away with the same games as before I retained her. She completely ignores and disregards just about everything I say. She asks for information I've already given her. I can only reach her by Email. I don't have my own computer, so she becomes impatient when I don't respond as quickly as she wants.

The harassment by the landlord began over 12 years ago. Because the law doesn't consider what he's doing harassment enables him to get away with it. I end up freezing in the winter. The senior attorney the Division Of Housing And Community Renewal Thomas Foley doesn't do anything. I will probably have to file a new case with DHCR for lack of heat.

The landlord is in contempt, Susan Crumiller is allowing them to get away with what he's doing, by not doing anything this makes her complicit. I've come to the conclusion thet something is going on, collusion. This is an ethical violation.

I'm just waiting for the landlord to try somthing. At the moment he's not cashing the rent checks, etc. What's to prevent him from shutting off the water, and electricity to the building again?

She delegates her work, so when there is a problem can't be reached. The landlord doesn't pay his taxes, or fines. I'm going to freeze again this winter, the building has no boiler. She nickle and dimes me for every little thing. Susan Crumiller is ineffectual. I asked her why she wasn't going after them. she made it clear that she had no intention of going after them. I'm in limbo.

The landlord through his attorney has a not so subtle way of twisting the truth and implying things, and she doesn't do anything. It's Susan who decides when or if  and to what she'll respond to.

I still have'nt got a responce from her when I told her Thomas Foley wouldn't return phone calls. I tried to tell him  about the frigid conditions in the building and the apt. When he finally does call he seem surprise, even though I told him repeatedly about the problem, and had the DHCR inspectors reports. And now insists that someone look at what's going on with the heat despite the fact that the heating sesaon ended weeks ago, all because he want to wrap up the case. No one is going after the landlord. For $3,ooo plus you'd think she would.
