I purchased a CTL 2 go pc and it wouldn't boot to the operating system ( Windows XP ) When I called CTL I was transferred to a guy names John who identified himself as the 2go project manger.

When I asked him if he could help me he was rude and aggressive and told me he didn't have the time to answer my questions and transferred me to the technical repair line. I then spoke to a guy who sounded Eastern European and he told me he wasn't in charge of repairing 2go pcs and then he transferred me to a guy named Jason. I got Jasons voicemail and left a message with my name, number and email address.

2 weeks later, no reply. I called again and asked to speak to the manager and was transferred to the voicemail of a guy named Eric Stronqist who is the guy in charge of CTL. Again I left my info, again no reply. Companies like these will be the first to go in this economic downturn and they deserve all they get.

I worked for CTL computers and was laid-off a few months ago. Best thing that could have happened to me, thank you Erik Stromquist ( VP ) and CTL.

Let me start by saying that my first week on the job I was told by my direct supervisor that initials CTL stood for "Crooks, Thieves & Liars." Boy was he ever right.

CTL assembles incredibly sensitive, custom whitebox computers in an old, dirty and incredibly dusty warehouse that they share with their electronics recycling company Retronics and the flat screen repair dept. It's a joke.

Imagine this:
They have minimum wage, minimally trained people assembling thousands of computers with no dust protection or static protection whatsoever.
No anti-static wrist bands, no clean white coveralls, no dust filtration systems, nothing.
It's just a chain link fenced-in computer assembly area totally open to the rest of the warehouse.

The recycling division smashes apart old electronics all day long in an area that only has hanging plastic strips over the doorway to try and reduce the airborne particles and dust. Again, a total joke and near-worthless.

Like I said, this method doesn't work and there is always a ton of dust and dirt particles flying around and getting into the computer chassis and all over the components.
Add this to the fact that people are assembling the computers using metal tools with no static-guards in lace and you have a recipe for a disaster, and a disaster it is. The failure rate of CTL computers is dismal and their products are sub-standard.
Electrical power is not filtered, unless you count cheap power strips as filters, so there are electrical surges that run through the systems frequently.

Instead of investing in the correct safeguard systems and proper training, CTL is continually firing people ( unless they quit) and hiring new replacements. Average time on job must be around 4-5 months.

CTL is run by a totally incompetent management team and overall morale company-wide is very low. The head of the tech and production dept is a bitter guy who wants to quit but doesn't have the guts to, and so he makes everyone's life miserable as a consequence.
Passive/aggressive doesn't come close to covering it.

The VP rules his roost by fear and intimidation and he is constantly putting people down and making them feel like sh*t.
He yells and threatens to try and "motivate" his employees instead of mentoring and training them to do better.
Worst, he is a fundamentally dishonest person who will say and do anything to make a profit and he puts no value on his employees nor does he make them feel valued.

CTL's biggest customers are the local and state Oregon Government and Public School systems. Scary huh?

We believe that this comment was written by a specific disgruntled employee of CTL who was terminated and made this post and alias up in an attempt to damage the reputation of CTL. CTL has attempted repeatedly to get in touch with the author of this post to address alleged issues, however, this supposed person will not respond with any details of purchase or alleged issues. CTL has no record of this incident in our helpdesk system.
