Cuisinart Webstore Order never fulfilled, bad website maintenance, no management contact Internet

I placed an order via this online website on October 24th, figuring that ordering directly from the manufacturer would be the best way to go, as it usually is when I order things online.  I am careful when purchasing items online, and confirmed on the website that the items I chose were in stock.  A week went by and the order had not been processed, so I emailed them via their online "Customer Care" system, requesting they advise of the issue - their online system promised that I would be contacted within 24-48 hours. 

Two days later, I still hadn't received a reply, so I called their 1-800 number.  The woman on the other end of the line was very polite and helpful, but told me that my order hadn't been processed because, while most of the items were avilable, one of the items I'd ordered was on backorder, and was expected to arrive in 2-3 weeks.  I advised her that all of the items I'd ordered had shown as in stock - she checked the website while I was on the phone and confirmed that it did show the item as being in stock.  She apologized, said she'd see about getting that corrected, and offered to upgrade my shipping option for free once the item came in - since, apparently, they will not ship items from an order separately - and I accepted.  Two days later, I finally received an email response from the "Customer Care" center, telling me one of my items was on back order - so much for "expect to receive a response in 24-48 hours"!!

Fast forward to 5 weeks later - my order still had not been processed, so I sent another email inquiry.  One week later, and I still have not received an email response about my order.  I called them, AGAIN, only to be told, AGAIN, that the single item was STILL on backorder, and was STILL expected to arrive in ANOTHER 2-3 weeks.  I demanded that they cancel my entire order immediately, and asked to speak with a manager; I was placed on hold, and when the rep came back on the line, said that she'd spoken with her manager, and if I didn't want to cancel my order, they could upgrade my shipping option.  I told her, AGAIN, that I wanted the entire order cancelled because I was not about to wait ANOTHER 2-3 weeks for an order I placed a month and a half ago.  SHe finally complied, and I hung up.  

Needless to say, but I will anyway - I wiill NEVER order from the Cuisinart Webstore again, and despite the kitchen appliances I've used and loved in the past, will also never purchase another item of theirs again.  THINK AGAIN if you plan on ordering from them - you may NEVER get your order!!  Additionally, I intend to create several reviews so that my experience will reach potential buyers - wish I'd taken the time to look for reviews before attempting to buy from them!
