in february 2011 i called the cullman electric co-op and spoke with a lady that seemed very nice,i explained to her that i was being deployed to afghanistan march 1 and needed my power disconnected.the lady stated that someone would be out that week to disconnect the power,i then asked if i would have to pay another deposit, and reconnect fee,she assured me that there would be no such charges and notify them when i retun and they would be right out to connect the power and basicly it would be just like the power was never cut off and no extra fees. i retuned after an injury around the first of july..i went to the cullman electric co-op to have my power restored.the lady at the front desk had me wait to see a lady in the back in her office,,i have never been so humiliated in my life she looked at me like i was a nuisance and it was a bother for her to speak with me,this lady was totally rude to me  i have no idea what this lady has against returning soldiers, i was treated with more respect by the enemy  i told her goodmorning her reply was what can i do for you,no goodmorning back,,,on top of her rudeness,,she then charged me a re-connect fee a deposit totaling 1000.00 dollars and that was the only way to get my power back on, after explaining the conversation i had with a different lady before i went to war,,im still scratching my head,,and i really used to think that the cullman elecrtic co-op was fair,,,,i will never trust them,,,,i wish i would have written the ladys name down, but i was so frustrated that i didnt want to say something that i would regret later,i just paid it and walked out
