Curry's Auto Service - Chantilly Must Replace Ball Joints to pass the state Inspection!!! chantilly, Virginia

I bought Currys auto Winners circle coupon for approx. $79 like 6 months ago. Since, it offers a free state inspection, I took my car to them and straight away(like in 30 mins after I dropped the car), I got a call from Allan Harlan (General Manager of that location) and he told me that they have to fail state inspection since the lower ball joints are damaged and have to be replaced.

He gave me an estimation of $740 to replace those ball joints and pass the state inspection. He also told me that if I dont replace these joints, there is a possibility that tires will come off and thats where I thought he is trying to cheat me as I dont feel any vibrations or any kind of abnormal things when I am driving my car. So, I straight away declined that and told him will get back to him and picked the car with rejection sticker on it.

I took this car to a local mechanic to see whats the problem and if its really an issue how much does it cost. Mechanic checked the suspension (the lower ball joints) and he said "everything is intact and you don't need anything replaced". He suggested me taking for a re inspection at a different location.

After couple of days, I took my car for a re inspection at a different location and guess what, my car passed the state inspection without any issues. The inspection tech. told me the same thing as mechanic that everything is intact and he wondered why currys auto failed the inspection in first case. 
 
The answer is plain simple....they want your money at any cost. So, BEWARE of CURRYS AUTO INSPECTION!!!
