Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...
When my son called me collect I got a recording that said my phone service does not allow collect calls. To receive the call I had to put my debit card number in.
When I looked at my bank statement I could not believe I was charged $36.33 plus $1.00 for each call.
I just read the other ripoff reports for this company and now I am afraid I will have more charges.
I am going to file a report with the BBB and I hope everyone else will also. This needs to stop.

All Collect calls from any company cost the same

I have just read the complaint about the cost of a collect call using CTI. The untold truth is that this type call from any company cost about the same....This includes the major companies such as ATT, MCI and Sprint.
About 10 years ago Senator Al Gore put forward a law allowing people to not pay for 900 calls on their phone bills...this was at a time that there were many complaints about this type of call causing people to be charge $1000s of dollars. The Law allowed people to not pay for these calls and their phone would not be turned off.
Along with the 900 calls, people were allowed to to not pay for collect, credit card and 3rd party calls on their bills. Large numbers of people have taken advantage of this situation and the cost of these calls has gradually increased to the point where they are now. Companies like ATT, MCI and Sprint have lead the way on these higher rates but when people get bills from them in the range mentioned in the article they just pay the bill and keep quite...when it is from an unknown company they shout their heads off.
The problem started with government getting into areas they had no business in and like the other things that government does that are not in the natural area of there responsibilities, they make a big mess causing costs to go up.

The $1.00 Charges are now $50.49. So I paid this company $86.82 for the collect call I received.
