Cutter Recovery - The Cash Store Re-collecting paid debts, Ripoff Edmonton Alberta

Cutter Recovery Services tracked my home phone number down 1.5 years after a debt had been paid owing to The Cash Store in Edmonton, Alberta.

The Cash Store had garnished my wages although I was making payments on a very small loan. They had called my employer repeatedly and eventually was forwarded to our Head Office Payroll Department. I confirmed with my employer that the wages had been garnished. The Cash Store did not quit calling.

I finally spoke to the Store Manager explaining that I had my wages garnished and he should contact my Payroll again for proof. I threatened to contact the BBB should they pursue a paid debt any longer and charge them for harrassment if they called my work phone number again.
They did not call again until I heard from Cutter Recovery 1.5 years later.

"Jessica F" at Cutter Recovery had said to me the debt was not paid. I explained the situation and she said she would contact the Cash Store. She called back saying I need to research the garnish and had to contact THEM to give THEM the information/proof they were missing. She had said that they are not a investigation company and The Cash Store can no longer investigate as to why they are missing the funds. She expects me to locate why they did not record the funds in their accounting books and find proof that I was garnished.

I took her fax number and intend on fighting this until they understand what effect their unprofessional and undermining business practices have on an individual's credit bureau!
