if you're reading this it probably already to late for you but I'll say it anyway, RUN!!! Run far away from this "opportunity of a lifetime to run your own marketing office". The job you are being offered is a scam. If you accept a position with this company you are not entering a management training program you are entering a slaughterhouse of naive, opportunistic, and bright people.

This is basically the porno industy of sales. They will use you to make money for their "business"(i.e. themselves) and they will spit you out the bottom of the industry, just like porno director seymour butts uses and destroys young women to line his own pockets.

You'll go on a interview with one of the "senior accounts managers" to show you the business. Then after they've totally glamourized the business for the last 8 hours or so (Oh, by the way, it's door-to-door sales of the worst kind. No business card, contact #'s, or any info for your clients to contact you) they'll take you into an office and let you sweat because they have you believing that they'll only accept the best, when in truth they'll hire anyone.

Case in point, I once saw them hire a deaf guy. It's fu**ing sales, you know, a business of communications.
then of course, your hired. HORRAY! You have job. Oh, by the way, did I mention that it's 100% commission sales of a product that is close to impossible to sell without feeling you screwed someone over(if you want to succeed, and I did, you have to check your ethics and integrity at the door because you'll find yourself blatantly lying to everyone, your clients, the people you interview for the job, and most importantly your family.)

Sounds great right? A few more things to mention. You don't get paid for the first 3 weeks. The job requires that you drive your own car up to 300 miles a day to get to your territory and you must use your own gas. Not to mention that you're doing all this 65 hours a week and there are no benefits.

They'll tell you that "succussful reps" make $600 to $800 a week. I was a successful rep and I averaged just under $300 a week for the 6 months i work. Oh, and I was a successful rep. I was so good that my manager sent me to even more intensive brainwashing in L.A. where I got to spent a whole weekend with the top of the pyramid scheme and learn how to better brainwash people into starting the job, all on my bosses dime.

I don't blame my former boss or my any of my old co-workers though. I blame the people I meet in L.A., those are the people that started this whole sweatshop of sales and I truly believe they should be punished by law for what they're created, which is a omnipresent outsourced sales company that preys on impressable kids with lies and promises of running there own marketing offices.

In the end it's still Cydcor

AUTHOR: A - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, January 17, 2010

You can attack this Jordan person's character all you want the bottom line is it's still a Cydcor company.  Keep in mind that yes he does have papers showing he owns his own company, but does he also show you the contract he has with Cydcor that basically states he has no individual rights and must listen to everything they say.  If Brad Park decides to stop in and take a look at how the office is being run, he can force the manager to change it to his liking, and if not he can just close your office down.  This does not sound like an independently owned business to me.  Cydcor scams people into their system just to keep their liability as low as possible, and it's pure friggen genius.

All of the offices are the same, false opportunity, misleading information, shady interview practices, cult like atmosphere.  There are not many people that actually make money to support themselves in this business.  Since you are on the Quill campaign I will give you accurate numbers to prove how little money is made.

Last week's office and agent rankings show there are currently 57 offices on the Quill campaign and approx. 616 reps.  The average Cydcor office costs approximately $4000 a week in overhead to break even.  Out of the 57 offices only 17 offices exceeded this $4000 mark in office profit, and keep in mind that this is before rejections.  That means only 30% of offices are operating at a breakeven or making a profit.  The office that is in question here doesn't even make half that so it might be time to move on for them.

Now as far as the reps are concerned, Cydcor ranks the top 50 reps on the campaign. Out of the approximately 616 reps on the campaign only 22 made over $700 bucks for the week.  11 of which actually cracked the $1000 mark.  Now these numbers come out to 3.5% of Cydcor reps working on the Quill campaign actually pace a 35K annual income for that week (in reality they won't make over $700 every week so 35K is a little unrealistic for them)

When success numbers are that low there is a serious problem.  I know you're trying to believe that this is a fictional blog, but these are facts for you.  Try to argue with them.

Jordan Adkins just plain lies!!

AUTHOR: Hworking - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Jordan.

Where did this come from and why did you not post the truth?? Lets break done your rant.

First Tom can NOT discriminate because of age, period. When interviewing at no time is age mentioned nor asked except to find out if someone is at least 18. If a person interviews well, is sharp and can pass the extensive background test, then a second interview is offered to allow the candidate to see what a real day in the position would be like. After the all day shadowing in the field "showing and explaining" EXACTLY what the position requires. The candidate is asked if they think they can handle it. If so they might be hired. Age is not known till the morning of the first day when paperwork is explained.

As far as pay...you knew from the start that it was 100% commission and it takes two weeks from date of first sale to receive pay.

The product is office supplies, which are not hard to sell if you present it correctly.

300 miles???????????   Where were you going?????????

As far as contacting about your pay! I happen to know that Tom turned over all his records to Quill, Cydcor, ADP and your Father....surprise on how it came out that you were paid more than your sales indicated!!!!!!!!!

YOU were not a good rep at all...you did not do the things taught to you. Made excuses all the time, and were late to work numerous times.

As far as Tom "allowing you to drink in a bar" I know he was out of town when you took it on your self to get drunk at a team function...passed out in the bathroom and begged fellow employees not to call your Dad....they took you home with them and they gave you a place to stay.

You also forget to mention that Tom had to get up at 3:00 in the morning to drive back to Louisville to handle another of your drunk episodes...he suspended you and sent you home...you came back the next Monday and cried and begged for your job. You were put on probation and then No Showed for your job.

And how on earth would you know what he has and owns. I know he keeps his personal life to himself!!!!! I also know he is not materialistic, evidently you are.

Oh! and as long as your mud slinging.....why did you know mention you were sleeping with several guys in the office that put a strain on the office!!!!???

As far as the top leaders in the office..... 2 have been promoted to management and the other is an assistant manager.

I know that Tom pays no attention to these fictional blogs....I hope he never sees this because even in the end, after all was said and done, he was still saying that you were a very sharp individual that had the potential to do whatever you put 100% into.

Sad Jordan......Very Sad!!!!!!!!!!!

That's funny...

I am researching a company for a friend who happens to be young and naive.  Funny how "The Micalan Group" can be linked to "St Croix Concepts" and "4fifty8 Acquisitions."  I prefer to believe the original post.  This, as well as many other companies, are pyramid schemes and have no right to prey on people in this economy.  People have families to raise, not be d*cked around by people who have nothing better to do with their time.
I have turned all of this information over to the local news station.  It will be interesting to find what they can dig up.  Hopefully they can put you all out of business!

Rebutal to Tom Liewer

AUTHOR: JADKINS0171 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, January 04, 2010

Let me just say yes I worked at the micalan group and no it was not for an extensive amount of time. I worked here for maybe a matter of 3 months and here is what I found. I'm a young fresh out of high school 18 year old who was hired in the professional field of sales, that to me already sounds iffy. What "well-to-do" and "proffessional" company hires a young high school student who has no experience at all in this field to come on full time and work as a professional? not to mention the fact that nick is right you aren't paid for three weeks and in the mean time you end up putting around 100-200 miles a day on your car. so not only did i pay for all oil changes brake changes and of course gas with no compensaition those words didnt even begin to come out of tom's mouth. The only way I will see any of the money back is at the end of the year when I file my taxes...thank god i know how to save a reciept. But after the three week period i began to recieve the money for the sales i made, which wasn't alot, be cause not many people like to be pressured into sales. while here i met some very intellgent people who actually taught me alot i will say that, but the funny thing is that the top reps in the office including the one that trained me quit along with some other top leaders. This company promises alot but in return you are told to work hard for the management position which is obtainable but only by those who are willing to make this job their intire life. and let me just say this my father now owns four businesses of his own and he doesnt even dedicate the amount of time to his work that would have been needed for me to reach the goal of management in the micalan group. after quiting my job i had to contact cydcor in reguards to how tom runs his office and how he approaches employees. He was very manipulative of me and thank god i have a father who saw that and my father took action. HE had to force tom to pay me my last checks and funny enough someone so proffessional when asked for my money he said "well what if i told your dad about the times when you got drunk at team night." and i replied "well why dont you tell my dad why you were allowing an 18 year old to drink at a bar under your supervission. I'm young of course as a high school kid i want to party but its you responsibility as a business owner to make sure that you aren't being put at risk." Tom your whole business is a joke and whats funny is you say you make so much money 17,000 in a week is what i think you said once...well why dont you have a car, why dont you have a house, why dont have anything to show for you money. you would think someone who makes this kind of money would at least be able to afford a nice suit...which if im correct i remember a total of 3 suits all of which are cheap. a business man that claims to be of you stature would present himself much better then this...but not tom. your a joke.

I feel sorry for you, Nick.

I would just like to say, to all of you who found this "report" while researching the Micalan Group, that this guy is very, very wrong. His story is, in parts, true. He was an employee with us. Actually, my boss (the same "T.L." that left the "I find it interesting" rebuttal) was also his boss. And I am certainly not going to bad mouth this Nick character, because I never met him personally. I'm here to defend the Micalan Group. It's a successful, legitimate, independantly owned firm. We do not lie. We do not scam. Nick was NOT a successful rep, if he was lying, scamming, and still unable to make over $300 a week, even after 6 months of employment! I'm surprised he was with us for 6 months. Nick must have taught my employer a lesson about leiniency, because there's NO WAY that T.L. would put up with that sort of behavior nowadays. Tom gave Nick way too many chances, as well as way too many favors. I expect that Nick left the company on bad terms, and filed this report as, well, I'd call it a sucker punch. It's untrue. I was infuriated when I found this report. T.L. is one of the greatest people I've ever met, and I'm very pround to be a part of this company. This career was obviously something that was not for Nick. But come on, that's no reason to slander the honest business of a very hard-working (and frankly, an AWESOME) person.

I really hope that nobody takes this "report" seriously. Check the Micalan Group out in REAL LIFE, see for yourself, and make your own judgements. That's honestly the only way to go; think for yourself.

FIND IT INTERESTING

AUTHOR: Tl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, April 18, 2008

I find it very interesting Nick that in your rant you failed to mention quite a few facts.

For instance;

1) I paid all your apartment expenses for 3 months, including rent.

2) I paid for the repairs on your car twice.

3) You lost all interest in what you were doing because of a girl back home.

4) You did the "Deaf" guy's second interview and recomended him.

5) You later called and apologized for the trouble the comment on this website has caused.

6) I was promoted in less that a year and now have 4 offices.

As for my parent company;
CYDCORrankedNo.1inthecategoriesofclienttrust vendorpreference,and operationalvalue-add.CYDCORwasrankedNo.2overallinitsend-to-endsalesoutsourcingvendorassessmentThecompanymissedatiefortheNo.1positionby.01, accordingtothesurvey.

Check it out in "The Black Book of Outsourcing", which conducts an annual ranking of outsourcing providers.

I guess that is why Fortune 500 companies like AT&T, Quill Office Supplies, IMS, and Verizon work with us.

Good luck with what you choose to do Nick.
