This is a very unfortunate story from my tenant... I will call her Suzie in order to protect her identity. Suzie is a daycare worker that hardly makes enough to support her family of 6. One day, she was so busy that she sent her boyfriend to pay her car payment. Her boyfriend had never been to that place and ended up at Cynthia's office, Howard Property Management and Real Estate. Cynthia told Suzie's boyfriend that he was at the right place and he proceeded to pay her the car payment. Then, Cynthia wrote him a receipt out to some bogus name. Of course, the boyfriend did not look and just took the receipt home.

For days, Suzie have been trying to call Cynthia for her money back but Cynthia refused. She is currently behind on her car payment. A lady at her loan company did try to help her call Cynthia but with no reply. Because the amount is less than $1,000, Suzie was unable to sue Cynthia. Suzie had no choice but to keep calling Cynthia for her money back. Cynthia told her to come to the office to sign a paper in order for her to get her money back. Luckily, Suzie did not sign anything because Cynthia looked suspicious when she asked Suzie to sign the paper. In fact, Cynthia had tried to make Suzie assume the debt of some other person in her file!

This is a very recent incident occurred in February 2006.

I felt bad for my tenant. I know you might think how dumb the boyfriend was... but this is no reason to breed bad behavior. Posting this online is the only way I can help her and her family (they don't even have a computer). I would also like to help anyone out there who is going to deal with Cynthia or Howard Property Management. Look under "Cynthia Louise Howard" for another guy's report on her! Watch out if you already have dealings with her... she is also an ID thief according to that report.

Is there anyway we can get this information out? To Register Guard? Oregonian? KEZI? Please help if you can. Thank you.

Small Claims Court??

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 22, 2006

Why can't she go to small claims court? Since when is there a limit on the amount of money you can sue for in Small Claims?

Also, did anyone think of calling the police? What this woman did was a felony. And, 'Suzy' has proof that this woman comitted a felony. She took money under false pretenses, forged a receipt and then tried to get your tenant to assume another persons's identity. Where I come from, that is illegal!
