Daily Kos Trolls control Daily Kos Internet

I've been a registered member of Daily Kos for about three years and have donated money to it as I like its opinion pieces and cartoons, but last Sunday when I used my member "diaries" feature to post an essay, I was immediately attacked by resident trolls who flagged my post as offensive (which it wasn't) and made abusive comments. I went to delete my account and found out that Daily Kos never deletes accounts (maybe to keep its member stats up?) I posted a comment to the user discussion forum saying that Daily Kos should start deleting accounts if it's going to allow trolls to run members off the forums, and was treated to more abusive comments. I haven't experienced anything like this since I was at Point Pelee during blackfly season. I notice that "diarists" whose posts are top rated by other diarists are featured on the website's front page, so it's in their interests to drive away the competition and engage in mutual promotion.
