Unbelievable

AUTHOR: R Dalton Robinson - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, January 07, 2013

I generally ignore complaints from this site because there is no accountability for claims made, no need to even know who the complainer is or even know if they truly exist.   It's not a site I generally would think professionals actually consider due to these simple truths, but evidently there are some who use gossip sites like this as they do other social media and form opinions based on whatever garbage they can find.

I was recently made aware of this report by a business colleague who asked me about it and was quite surprised to see my company name mentioned in the tag line.  I would prefer not to respond to this garbage but my only option it seems is to either pay the extortion fees so nicely integrated into the site to "clear my name", or sue the company on the slim chance that a subpoena would actually result in there being a real person to hold accountable behind the libelous claims, since most likely they are non-existent, fake names.  It seems for the time being a response is needed at least to protect my company's reputation.

For the record, I have written to the editor of this site to remove my company's name from the tag line in this complaint because the author clearly doesn't know me or he would know my name. Neither me nor my company has ever had any dealings with an "Ivan" from anywhere, whether business or personal, which means that this person is either complaining about someone else, (in which case I would expect him to remove my company name,) or is using a fake name in an attempt to damage me with libelous statements as some sort of childish "get even" tactic for whatever reason, but one thing for sure is that me or my company has never dealt with anyone named "Ivan" nor in any manner on which this complaint is written, so I would appreciate a cease and desist of use of my company in your rant.

If you really know me, you know me to be a man of integrity and truth no matter the situation- good or bad.  I absolutely am and have been an entrepreneur and have had some successes and failures along the way, alot of indebtedness, and alot of goals and matters yet to conclude, but have never stolen money, never lied about anything regarding business or financial matters, and have a history of trying to promote cooperation with others to accomplish goals.

Neither me nor my company "work with" any of the people mentioned in this complaint although It is a fact that I do know them, just as I know of hundreds if not thousands of other people thru various means who may have complaints against them.  But even though I have had my own problems with these people, if I ever take action against them it will be thru legal action and not on a site like this. Why "Ivan" if you were so damaged by this "Reginald" wouldn't you do the same?

Secondly - neither me nor my company have never advertised "investments", nor "european traders and high networth traders" and only my business partners or trusted associates would ever have any idea of what I would ever discuss in the course of my business, of whom "Ivan" is clearly not one of.  Any investments I ever take part in or have taken part in, most certainly involves or has involved my own money, but that's none of Ivan's or anyone else's business unless they are business partners with a right to know.

Ivan, I don't know who you are, and perhaps you are referring to "Reginald" who shares the same remainder of my name, but you have crossed his name with my company and I would appreciate it if you would stop using my company name in a baseless complaint.  You are also free to contact me directly if you want to continue the discussion directly.

Perhaps you don't realize that simple words on such a site may be an easy way for you to vent anger, but it has real repercussions if it is taken too far.  If you have a REAL problem with me, then contact me and I'm more than happy to work it out, but there is for a fact NO pending NOR past business with you and me personally, nor with my company, in anything you mention in this complaint, so please stop using my company name in your venting.

Interesting how easy to destroy

AUTHOR: ADo - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, January 04, 2013

I have to say it's truly sad that it's so easy for anyone with an email address that doesn't like someone, to come to this site and assassinate the character of someone without having to worry about things like "truth".

Imagine how easy it is to "get even" with someone that looks at you funny, or maybe beats you in a game, or divorces you or breaks off a relationship or in any way makes you mad.  All you have to do is come to this site and write anything you want without having to provide so much as your real name.  Even in court of law people have the right to know their accuser, but not in the modern world thanks to the sites like this one.   No way to correct lies, no way to take back anything, and with every bad thing written it helps to create bad image for the person you want to destroy, no matter if you write later to correct it or say maybe you weren't right.   Way to go Ripoff Report, you take us where we can't otherwise go.. destroying people's reputation with impunity.. and then cover yourself in the Constitution as if you're some godsend.

It's also interesting that these great protectors of the 1st amendment right to trash anyone regardless of truth, operate completely anonymously.. maybe because they don't want to end up on their own site with the choice of having to bend the rules to protect themselves.   Such knights in shining armor for sure.
