I went to Damonaz designs  March 2016 because I had a freind that worked there. I had been designing websites since they were written in HTML code but had not kept up and was not familar with wordpress.  I o met with the owner Luis and his top site designer. I knew exactly what I wanted and was specific with my description. Luis (the owner) kept saying "yes we can do that" and "no problem" to everything I said, which should have tipped me offright there.

The site was to be for a single rental home in the Bahamas.  I made it clear that I wanted a simple site that I could update and manage myself. Not knowing any better Luis talked into a website template that could have been used to run a Hilton chain. I worked with his top web designer for about a month. It had so many unused modules and a complicated calandar that both his top web designer and myself that the site was a mess and in no way should I have used the owners reccomended template.  Since Damonaz Designs already had my money I was no longer a priority and was brushed off by the owner (Luis Campos). His team felt bad for me and tried to work on it on their own time.  After realizing there was no hope I let it drop.  I did not express my feelings online in fear of repercussions to my freind that worked there.

My freind has since left the company and I have taught myself wordpress (pretty simple). I went to Luis and expressed my dissatisfaction with what his product was. I never promoted the site and I dont think it was viewed by anyone but myself and his team I asked for a refund. Luis denied any refund. I made it clear that I was an unhappy customer and that I would not have any problem with writing reviews of my experience with Damonaz Designs, In hopes that noone has to share my experience.

we all make mistakes and misunderstandings happen

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Saturday, March 25, 2017

It seems Damonez designs and I had miscommunications from the beginning.  I didnt know exactly what I wanted in a website and by the time I did I had taught myself the Wordpress web design program.  I had let too much time pass and when the owner (Luis) tried to make things right I felt he had nothing to offer me. Frustration had gotten the better of me. So I would like to delete my original report but that is not allowed.

So as it says in Rip- off report guidelines  "After all, we all make mistakes and misunderstandings happen."

When I saw this report, we felt it an obligation to share our story.  We have done business with Luis and his company for the past 5 years and can only speak of the great service we have received every time we have contracted his company for a project.

His team has built for us several websites over the years including our most recent 3D Ultrasound Service website where they outlined a detailed action plan and implemented it flawlessly.  I am a business owner myself and understand the struggles in finding a company you can trust to take care of your needs; especially ones that will ultimately help your own business grow.

We couldn't be happier in the level of service we have received and highly recommend Luis & his team to anyone looking for an honest trustworthy company that will not nickel and dime every request.  If anyone has any questions regarding our experience, we will be more than happy to share more examples of how this company has helped our business be successful.  Thank You.

We Delivered - This Allegation For Damonaz Design is not true.

AUTHOR: Lcampos - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 28, 2017

We started working with Randy back in March of 2016 because his girlfriend was then an employee of Damonaz Design.  She came to us asking if we could help him out because his old website was in need of revamping and needed and updated look, design and functionality.  We met up with Randy and heard everything he wanted and laid everything out in detail what we would do for him and then some.  We offered him a huge discounted price that basically put us at doing this project at cost with no profit what so ever; basically, the employee discount we offer to our employees whenever they need a website or anything done online.

When we met up a few weeks later to show him what we came up with at our office, he was super excited.  Loved the site and loved the new design.  He gave us the go ahead to proceed with the remainder of the build.  For the next few weeks, he worked with our team in getting additional functionality implemented in the site.  His requests exceeded not only what he had paid but now we were in the negative on this project.  However, we did not attempt to collect any of that money or make a big deal simply because again this was for an employee's boyfriend.  We believe that not everything is dollars and cents for us and truly wanted to help our employee and her boyfriend out.  So we continued with his requests and did them as he requested them at no additional charge.

Then finally after all updates were completed in early May of 2016, we got the go ahead from Randy that all was set.  He was happy with the site and thus the site was launched.  All was great from our standpoint. Do you want to know how happy he was? He was so happy in our performance that he took me, our developer and our employee out for lunch as a "thank you" because he knew we put in alot of work into the site and was overall pleased in our work.  My question is, "if he was not happy, then why did we never hear of this issue throughout the build process?"  Also, "Why did he agree to launch the site if he was not happy and then why would he take us out to lunch indicating he was happy?"  Lastly, "why would he pay the remaining deposit if he was not happy?"  Again, according to us during this entire time, he was another happy client.

So time passed and then sometime in August/September of 2016, we got word that he was having trouble updating the site using the Wordpress Admin backend.  Eventhough we had provided him with training back in May on it, we invited him to come on back and let our developer train him again on updating the site.  He also mentioned he was having trouble understanding on how to update the gallery and custom calendar module we put in place.  In good faith, we spend an additional 2-3 days worth of work changing up the entire gallery and calendar module to work better for him.  He also had another list of updates that we did for him.  Under no circumstance were we obligated to do this additional work for FREE.  By then, the site had been sign, sealed and delivered and to us 100% completed.  But again, we did it anyway because his girlfriend was an employee of ours and wanted to make sure we took care of our own.  So, we communicated this back to him and to our understanding all was fine and quite frankly felt at his point we had gone well above and beyond what any normal reasonable company woulf provide well after a site has been launched and approved by the client.

In late November of 2016, our employee who was Randy's girlfriend at the time moved back up north to pursue other endeavors and left the company.  This was the last time we ever heard from Randy.  Now, almost 3 months later (almost 9 months after we launched the site), Randy came into our office (while i wasn't here) on Feb 26th, 2017 and demanded that he get full refund from his site because he never liked or has used the site.   Of course to us, we were completely astonished & confused because we had no clue where this was coming from.  No where during and upon the build process were we ever told he did not like the site.  Even when he had trouble updating the site months later (which wasn't because of functionality but more in our opinion user capability), we never heard of any issues. He claimed to our employee he held back any comments out of respect to his girlfriend.  Unfortunately, this is not a valid excuse in our book.  If we are told in our face that all is great, then what are we to expect?  We move forward.

And for the record, this site we delivered is an awesome site.  As he stated in his complaint, it rivals that of a Hilton hotel.  It has all of the bells and whistles and everyone we showed the site too was amazed on the work we did for him.

But that being said and despite us knowing that we delivered a great product, we still wanted to see how we can work things out.  We called Randy with the hopes of seeing what the issue was and even further offering how we can be of assistance.  When I spoke to Randy over the phone, it was pretty clear he wasn't going to let me find out or talk things through.  He was pretty rude on the phone and stern that he wanted a full refund and if we didn't give him a full refund, he would go on the internet and post negative reviews about our business.   He became irate and did not allow me to even introduce any solution.

With that said, I immediately sent him an email moments after our phone call offering reasonable solutions and he replied back he only wanted a refund.  The amount of money we charged him as I stated was to cover cost only.  In fact, we lost money.   But at the end, this wasn't a question about money.  It is the principle of it.  We been in business since 2009 and have never had a client treat us with the disrespect  he has shown us.  We have gone well above and beyond on this project.  We have had a 100% client satisfaction rate since 2009 and am confident our clients will soon speak to this online very soon.  We invite anyone to give us a call and will be more than happy to give you over 300 different client references we have helped serve and continue to serve in the SW Florid area and you will find 100% full satisfaction.  There is a reason why Damonaz Design has grown into the company it has and that is because we give so much back well beyond what we charge.  Our goal always is to deliver.  We delivered for Randy.
