I wish that I would have known about this web site before I hired Dan Casey DBA Probuilt !

 I first met Dan Casey when the Johnson County Kansas Correctional System brought him to me on their day time work release program, he was an exceptional employee with very good skills that fit into my business expansion plan. Dan refused my offer of employment after he was released from the Johnson County Jail and started his own unrelated company.

15 Years later I advertised on Craig’s List for a contractor to finish my barn roof that Nugent Brothers Roofing did not finish due to the closing of that business, much to my surprise Dan Casey came out to my home to bid the job, while he did not repair the barn due to my schedule, I arranged a parking lot concrete repair job in an Olathe Business complex that I have an interest in. Dan aka / Probuilt  did a good job at a reasonable price on the parking lot so I had him bid a remodel on a 3 bedroom home in Shawnee Kansas that I had purchased as a rent to own for my step-son and his wife in October of 2014. Dan bid the job at $25K to be paid in 3 payments 40% to start, then 40% after demo, painting plumbing and electrical to purchase windows, electrical and plumbing fixtures and 20% upon completion. The first part went  a little slow but ok so I gave Dan the second 40%  in December for the year end tax write off . As it turns out Dan Casey settled  his complaint that has now been removed from this venue with Gene  and Dianne Chambers just a few days after I gave him the second 40% check in Johnson County District Court case number 14CV05306.

In addition to not finishing the job Probuilt  did not cover the hard wood floors when they painted the walls and ceilings ruining the wood floors ,although they were going to sand them which never happened, the windows were never replaced none of the electrical or plumbing was done and most of the kitchen is gutted except a few tiles were installed on the kitchen floor and 1 bathroom floor. He also never secured the proper permits from the city.

 Dan and I had many conversations about how he was going to have everything done by January because I had it rented, then it was Feb, then March, then April then he offered to buy the home for what I had in it. I heard every excuse in the book about the windows being ordered wrong twice etc etc etc. It appears that the windows and fixtures were never even ordered instead I believe he used the money to pay off a pending  judgment  (see Chambers vs Dan Casey in Jo. Kansas  case 14CV05306).12/23/2014 and on rip off report.)

  On April 14^th I received a text message from Dan’s phone stating that he was in the hospital in Wichita having back surgery which appears to be untrue,  He refuses to answer phone calls, texts and emails and I have a ½ painted gutted home with ruined floors no plumbing , electrical etc.

I have filed legal papers in Johnson County District court and The district attorney is looking into criminal charges since this seems to be a pattern of fraud.
