I am a hard working mother of two, am Christian and lives in Auburn, MA. It all started beginning of this year when my Husband allowed me to take $4500 from our saving account and invest in a business. Been a handy person I am, I settled in the weft making business.

My first correspondence with Danielle Sullivan was via email on alibaba.com, I had sent an inquiry about the wefting machines she had advertised on that website. I was looking to buy one from China, but since there was a USA supply I opted for her instead. Here is the email I received from her.

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in hair wefting technique.

Please call me at US+443-447-1880.

I will explain everything over the phone.

Meanwhile, please check our webpage: www.brazhair.com/wefting.html

Warmest Regards,

Daniele Sullivan

Master Wig Designer

I checked out the website and called her on the phone, she informed me that she was going to offer me the class for $4000, including 2 machines for wefting. I was very skeptical about it and so I decided to drive to Maryland to meet her personally, I drove from Massachusetts 14hrs back and forth, and I wanted to be sure that she was guanine. She met me in a Dunkin Donut in Baltimore, I requested her to take me to her wefting and wig making school, but she refused insisting that she teaches in her Basement and didn’t feel comfortable to take me there, she also didn’t bring any of her prior or student’s wefting work to show me.

That was a not satisfying, but she forcefully reassured me that she was going to teach me how to make wefts and I will be able to sell those wefts and make money. When I got back to Massachusetts, she continuously sent me text messages asking me to make my decision, she told me she is a busy woman and I had to make my decision quickly. Unfortunately I didn’t save the text messages, but I will be requesting them from my phone company. She then sent me an email to pay a non-refundable fee of $400.00 to reserve the class.  She didn’t offer me any contract to sign but she sounded genuine so I decided to make the payment. Please see the attaché PDF file of all the email correspondence between me and Danielle. Also there is an invoice of the payment I made through PayPal. After I made the payment she offered to travel to Massachusetts on the weekend of April 14th and 15th 2013, but I thought that was too soon and so I told her to plan for the weekend of May 19th and 20th 2013 that was going to give me more time to think about it. She went ahead and booked the plane even without confirming with me, she did that on April 9th. She sent me her Itinerary of travel via email. See attached email correspondence. All she was concerned about was for me to pick her at the airport, which is 1hr away from my house. Since I was very interested I agreed.

She sent me an email suggesting That I had to look for the Machines on EBay or look for one on Craigslist so I could pick them up by myself, I didn’t feel comfortable, I have no experience with sewing machines, I voiced my concerned about it, she then assured me with that email on April 25th that she will take care of it. 2weeks before the date she sent me a website for a company in New York where I was to order the machines from. It cost me $1300 to buy the machines see Attached PDF of the invoices that I paid that company. Since they couldn’t deliver in time for the Class with Danielle, my husband had to drive 10hrs to New York to pick them-up.

May 19th I drove 1hr to the Airport to pick her up, when she got to my house, she insisted I had to pay, $2300, upfront, without signing a contract before she taught me anything. I had the whole amount in the house but since I didn’t feel comfortable, with how she was insisting that I had to pay, I also noticed that she didn’t have any human hair for me to practice as she had promised. I decided I will pay her $500.00 CASH AND pay her the lest of the money after I was comfortable, she agreed to do that. She gave me some cheap materials to read and then she started figure out the machines. She was having trouble with the Machines and had to make multiple phone calls I don’t know to whom, asking help to figure out the machines. By the Time we got to the machines it was 3pm, she only taught me how to sew on fabric, I didn’t get to work on making any wefts. She set up, some You-tube video’s that I could watch about wefting. When I was watching them I saw other ladies, reporting of how she had ripped them off, when I asked her about them she insisted it was not true. By the time I dropped her off at the hotel at 7pm, I couldn’t make a weft on my own, and I had not practiced on any hair. I was starting to get frustrated with her, she expected so much from me and she was taking advantage of me, because she saw how much I wanted these.

By the next day may 20th I had to pick her up from the hotel, I was having issues with babysitting, I also texted her and told her I was becoming dissatisfied with how she was teaching me and how she treating me expecting that I should pick her-up and bring her to my house, I had paid her she should take a cab to my house. She called me and told me I was a loser, She accounted to me all the money I would lose telling me” if you don’t pick me up, you will be the loser because you will lose $400 that you paid for my travel to Boston, $1300 you  paid for the machines and the $500 Cash You paid me yesterday. She insisted that before she teaches me the technique I had to have $1000 in cash, and a check of $800. I felt like I had no other choice than to pick her so that I can learn the technique, so that I couldn’t lose all the other money I had invested into these. I decided to buy bankers cheque this time around, See the attached picture. When she got to my house it was 3pm and her plane was leaving at 8pm and so we had to leave my house at 5pm, she still insisted that she could teach me the technique in the remaining time of 2hrs. She sat at the machines and she couldn’t figure out the machines; she started to call other people on the phone. By the time she got me to make my first weft with some cheap synthetic hair it was 4.30pm. I will send you a piece of that cheap weft I made and she took a picture of me insisting that I knew how to make wefts. I informed her that I was upset because she had misguided me into believing she was guanine, I had trusted her and paid her $1900 without a contract, only to realize that I couldn’t make a weft on my own. When I asked her about the human hair she promised to give me to practice with, she threw at me some cheap human hair which I will also send to you to see. She then insisted that I had to give her $800 cheque that is when I told her I was not going to give her any more money, for her shoddy work and business. I told her to leave my house, and told her to pay a cab to the airport. She went on to tell my husband that I was refusing to take her to the airport. My husband convinced me that I should take her back to the airport. After all she had done to me; I took her in my car to the airport. Enroute to the airport, she was on the phone laughing, saying it was not a total loss; I have made $1500, for only 3hrs of work I did. That made me furious, that I couldn’t pay attention on how I was driving and where I was. I dropped her off at the airport and she boarded the plane to Baltimore. Why I sent her that text, was to give her a warning if she continues with that shoddy kind of a business, she doesn’t know who she will encounter next, it won’t be a nice person like me who after all she did to me I was nice to her, she was in my house I would have probably done something to harm, but I didn’t, I picked her from the airport and dropped her back and after all that, I paid for her to travel to Boston, a place she has never travelled  before and gave her $1500 for nothing and she has the gut to ask for $800, more. Why I suspected it was a scam all along, the following day on May 21st, when I went to click on the website she had initially given me brazhair.com.I got these message

As I said before I might never get my money back, but I wish I can expose Danielle Sullivan and learnlacefront.com shoddy business practices, and hope no other person falls for their lies.

Thanks

SOME CUSTOMERS ARE JUST IMPOSSIBLE TO SATISFY....

SOME CUSTOMERS ARE JUST IMPOSSIBLE TO SATISFY...

During my almost twenty year career as a Master Wig Designer and Instructor, I have trained hundreds of people from every walk of life.Hundreds of satisfied customers worldwide, are enthusiastically sharing their positive learning experiences,as you can see for yourself here:

http://www.learnlacefront.com/RECOMMENDATIONS.html

However, as you surely know if you work with the public, you sometime come across a person who is jealous, difficult, negative or paranoid, or maybe just mentally ill.

10 CLARIFICATIONS:

1- This customer indeed drove all the way from Boston to Baltimore to see if I was "for real".
Her overly suspicious nature should of alarmed me, as I have never had anyone request to see me prior to a course, let along subjecting themself to a 14 hour ride!
She now claims she wanted to see the machines, but our open policy is to never show machines or techniques until customer is actually taking the course.

2- The machines used for the hair wefting are two standards industrial sewing machines that are specifically adjusted to work with the hair.
I suggested various available sources for purchasing her machines, but she preferred ordering them from a direct supplier, who delivers anywhere in the US, for just $120.
However, she decided to send her husband pick up the machines himself, since - again - she was overly suspicious.
Even though the shipping fee would of been way cheaper, I offered to pay half of her husband's traveling costs - she accepted.

3- I am surprised she admits being dishonest and disrespectful of our mutual agreement of payment upfront before class begins.
She stubbornly refused to pay my dues, while I did my part and I arrived prepared to start the course.
She forgets to add that she tried to pressure me to reduce the price of the course by at least $800, ridiculously claiming that this is the price of the course in Baltimore, completely oblivious to the fact that I traveled to teach her a private course one-on-one, at her Boston's home. Evidently, I did not agree. It was Sunday, and she claimed her bank was closed and she would get the funds the next day (Monday). I was doubtful, but since I was already there, I assumed I would do the best I can, with the current negative situation she imposed on me.

4- I had no problem at all "figuring out the machines", as I have been teaching this course for over three years.
But I did start her real slow, since all she paid, besides her deposit was only $500! I was giving her a chance to "wet her feet" and get accustom to sewing, without letting out most of the professional techniques and secrets she hadn't pay for, while giving her the opportunity to keep her part of the agreement, pay my fee, and complete the full teaching the next day.

5- At the end of the first day, I asked what time she would like to start the next morning, and her response puzzled me: she vaguely brought up a business meeting scheduled for the next morning, and pushed the class for "later" (she knew my return flight was at 8pm Monday night).

6- The next day, she ignored my repetitive phone calls, and instead cowardly sent me a text:"I don't have the rest of the money, what should I do?"  After multiple phone calls and encouragements from my side, she finally agreed to come up with the remaining balance. However, in another attempt to sabotage my best efforts of teaching and satisfying her, she only made herself available at 2:30pm (instead of early morning).

7- Upon arrival, the nightmare continues...
First she had jammed the machines so bad -almost broke the two of them. I have never seen such a terrible mess and I had to phone the technician to navigate through the damage she had caused the machines (surely in an another attempt to sabotage my class). While I was sorting out the mess, she had the audacity to make a racist comment against Jews! And in terms of the money - again, she gave me only part of it (by money order) and retained the other part of the payment, babbling additional excuses.

8- As time was so drawing near, I not only sorted out the machines, but I was successful in both keeping calm and also teach her the wefting technique. She even produced a beautiful weft! (The hair quality is irrelevant). Of course. by then, I realized who I had to deal with and I took a picture so that she can't claim I did not teach her!

9- Last but not least, in a pathetic attempt to keep the remaining $800 she owned me, this person kept me in her house pretending to be looking for a checkbook, and actually putting a show of looking around. Alas, this impossible customer is neither a good liar nor a good actor, and the clock was ticking, my scheduled flight approaching rapidly.

Her husband came home and ordered her to pay me my dues - she stubbornly refused and proceeded to her car to drive me to the airport. However, she did not take the route, instead, she drove in circles, and I could see on my GPS she was driving further and further away from the airport!! When I confronted her, she looked at me with fury in her eyes but remained silent, and increased the speed of her driving to a dangerous 100 mph.

I asked to be let go out of her car, as her mental state was causing me distress, but she wouldn't. At that point I feared she was somehow kidnapping me, and I repeatedly asked to be let out, or I would call 911. Unfortunately, my phone was now dying, and she finally dropped me off at the airport at 8:20. The ride took twice the time!

Thanks to Heaven, I was safe, AND my flight was delayed by two hours.

10- The next day, I received a very disturbing message from her - A threat to my life.

If you read this, please learn from the horrible experience I had, and NEVER try to satisfy an impossible customer. Better to walk out and loose your income, than risk loosing your life!!!

Sincerely,

Daniele Sullivan

There are always two sides...

AUTHOR: Daniele Sullivan - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, February 18, 2014
I,Daniele Sullivan, am a Jewish orthodox mother of eleven children, ranging from 26 to 6 years old, and grand mother of two.

I am a Master Wig Designer with 19 years experience in the field.

Within my career, I have trained hundred of individuals internationally and nationally, from every walk of life, and I enjoy a very good name in the industry.

I am one of a few who is not afraid of revealing all best kept secrets, in order to help others enter the hair industry and follow a path of success, just as I did.

Grace inquired about a two days HAIR WEFTING COURSE which I am one of the two only professionals in the US to be offering.

After receiving full documentation and information, she was given the option to come to my workshop (Baltimore) for a lesser fee or for me to come to her Boston home for a private training for a higher fee.
She chose the latest, and signed up for a private course. The dates she chose was August 19th and 20th (two days class).

Signing up is made, by sending a non-refundable Paypal deposit of $400, as proof of commitment.

Upon my arrival to her Boston home, on August 19th, she suggested that I should reduce my fees to the amount offered if she would of come to me in Baltimore, despite the fact that I was the one who traveled to offer her the private course she requested and signed up for.

She seemed upset that I did not agree to offer her a substantial discount , but I explained that we need to keep our original agreement, and I cannot offer her a discount of $800.

A few minutes later, as I was about to take a ten minutes lunch break after having taught her for 4 hours straight, I asked for her to pay me the remaining amount of $1,800.
It is clearly stated in our previous correspondence by email, and repeated to her by phone, that the full balance is due when starting class.
She handed out $500, (it was a Sunday and she claimed not having had time to go to the bank, and would go the next day).

At that point, I wasn't sure if I could trust her or not, since she already proved me to be unreliable, but nevertheless, I proceeded with the instruction, with the only provision of changing a bit the order of the program, in the goal of keeping the most desirable and difficult to obtain secrets for the next day, after being paid in full.

At the end of the first day, after seven hours of teaching, I asked her what time she would like to start the next morning. She claimed she couldn't learn until afternoon because of a business appointment. This startled me and I reminded her that I needed to leave the next evening, having a flight at 8pm (I previously sent her a copy of my flight itinerary) and I would need enough time for her education. She appeared untroubled, and promised to go to the bank to withdraw the necessary funds the following morning before starting class at noon.

The next day I called her at noon to get the OK to come for the 2nd day of class, no answer.  Finally at 1:10pm she texts me :"Daniele, I cannot come up with the $1,800 to pay the class, I don't know what to do" And then asked if I could give her a discount of $800, which I could not agree for, but I graciously offered her a payment plan, for the $800 she was short off, and we both agreed she would pay it in the form of a post dated check which she would give same day. I made sure to ask if she had a check book, and she answered the affirmative.
After having me wait another full hour, she was ready to start class at 2:30pm. When I asked for the balance, she gave me a certified check for $1,000 and said the $800 check will be handed by to me later. Upon finishing the class, she pretended to be unable to find her checkbook and had me wait other an hour and a half, while she was lifting every object in her dining room, and living room, in an effort to presumably find her checkbook, knowing that the time for my flight was approaching rapidly, and I left my children with a babysitter. When I finally asked her point blank where was her checkbook, she answered it was with her husband. At this precise moment, I saw her husband driving home from the nearby window and told her so. She then rushed to the front door, yelling at her husband to turn around. I proceeded to run after her husband car,and he stopped and asked what was the matter. When I explained to him that I was owed $800, he commended his wife several times to pay me and she stubbornly refused. I explained that I delivered the necessary instruction program and even have as a proof a picture of Grace successfully materializing the technique I had taught her. At this point she claimed she lacked self confidence, and I replied that more practice will surely help her.
In a very aggressive fashion, she ordered me to her car (our agreement was that she would give me a ride to the airport), and proceeded in driving me in a furious manner, way over the speed limit, in a clear display of anger. After turned my cell's GPS I discovered that she was driving me in circles, away from the airport and to my horror, she refused to answer me, and ignored me as I was pleading to let me out of her car. As this nightmare was taking a turn to the worse, I attempted to call 911, but unfortunately my phone was completely depleted and dead. After a 15 minutes of terror, she stopped me in front of the airport, 15 minutes after the hour of my flight.
The next day, I received the following message from Grace by gmail talk:
"One of these days someone will Kill you, for scamming them of their hard earned money, thank God It won't be me. TY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

All those to whom I related this miserable story suggested I call the police for thief of services, attempt of kidnapping and death threat.

Grace has prior to this, addressed her complain to the BBB and I have accepted their arbitration process, but then she backed off. Here is the email:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Good afternoon Ms. Sullivan.  Ms. XX has contacted BBB and indicated that she no longer wished to continue with the arbitration process.  As such, I have closed the case with a positive disposition for Learnlacefront.com.

I still have your check for $100 that you forwarded to our office.  I have kept it in a secure location, as we do not process payment until a hearing date is scheduled for this exact reason.  Since the hearing has been cancelled, there is no need to process payment.  I can either shred the check or I can forward it to you via postal mail so that you may dispose of it as you wish.

Please let me know how you would like me to proceed, and thank you again for your willingness to participate in our process.
