Darrell's Automotive Manipulates Vehicles To Pass Smog Emissions 1/2 a** mechanic repairs.. etc... Bakersfield, California

  total scammer!! took car in for smog, check engine light and all four stuts.... ALL BAD! Darrell's Automotive Manipulated my vehicle to pass smog without fixing the initial problem! Check engine light was on three days later! Stuts were suppose to have been fixed... I promise its STILL doing the same exact noise as before it was allegedly repaired. I think they just splashed some motor oil on them or something to lube it up!. It took for ever to get my car back .. first the tech. calls to tell me of a price increase on the strut parts since the quote... (so what) its a "QUOTE" fix the s**t, its not that signifigant!

The second call was stateing they ordered the wrong parts lik a retard ( who does that on a vehicle you just repaired two months ago, and the info is still in the system???? ) But nevertheless , he downplays it saying the auto parts company brought the wrong parts.. basically Not admitting he ordered the wrong model year.. I noticed that after comparing the invoices from previous visits. 

The third call was that the struts were fixed but never mentioned the check engine light... so when I asked... He said it a emmisions problem! How so , and I just got a smog???? I told him WHATEVER it is, fix it. I didn't ask for my car to be tampered with to pass smog just to get registration from the dmv! Seriously, Who wants to trade in a car or sell it with the flipping check enginel light on??? not good.

So finally my car is ready  light is off.. but i looedk at the prior repair invoice to check which repair was done if any to get the check engine lightoff the first time and it was the thermostat!!!  I almost fell out because I had my thermostat replaced twice this year... it couldn't have been the thermostat!!!.. Not mention it was a whopping 83.00 .. outragious (therostat?labor) . I aSKED      him politly to remove those charges by crediting me because that was a unecessary repair on the company's behalf... He did, but still argued tht the machine was reading that particular code... yeah whatever. It ended up being a censor with is what i was told prior from somewhere else. Then he trys to tell me that maybe the thermostats I had put in previously were faulty or cheap... Some ppl just don't hold themselves accountable especially in this economic meltdown. No one wants to take the hit  to the pocket rather its there fault or not.. Its a shame

I really don't care how long you been in business , cause you can only get by on that factor for sooo long ,the proof is in the pudding. I know the mechanic was probably trying to save me money (illegally) by passing it, but still fixed something that didn't need it .. Kinda like a cover your butt type of thing for paperwork.... I have also heard throught other sources  is that they witnessed manipulation by runinng two cars... To say the least my stuts are still messed up I don't even want to take it over there to here the excuses because thats all ive gotten.  He even offered to check on me in a couple of weeks to see how its driving.... Fake!!!! never got a call or he would have already been aware of his sh**ty work before me having to  posting it on this here website.
