These vultures sent mail to a vulnerable, elderly, frail gentleman I know, stating he was eligible for over $3 million in prize money, but he needed to send in $20 for "transfer fees". He did so, then they sent a second letter stating the transfer was in the hands of the State of New York, but another $20 would be needed. He amiled them a check, the check bounced, but they were able to get their money via electronic transfer from the bank ( there is some information on the back of their form letters that indicate they have a "check acceptance policy" that allows them to collect the money electronically ). This, of course, meant additional bank fees to an old man who barely has enough money to pay his rent and buy food. Nevertheless, he was CONVINCED he was about to come into over$3 million, but of course, he needed to send ANOTHER $20 by a certain date. He called me in a panic, fearing he would lose out on the opportunity to receive this windfall. Once I read their crapola, I sadly told him the only thing he was going to miss out on was losing another $20.
