I joined eHarmony.com to meet a special lady per their advertisement. Well after their first "matches" I was matched with fat, old, and ugly women who were near the description I had requested, nor were not close to what I was interested in. They did not have things in common with me, wrong religions, wrong ages, wrong everything. I notified eHarmony of my disatisfaction, but was never responded to. I notified them twice more in the first five days of my membership, but they still did not respond to me. I tried to cancel my membership and still they did not respond. I continued attempting to cancel the membership and finally was emailed that it was now too late. I had paid a full on year membership for $320 and was told I could not get any refund whatsoever. This is a rip off that commits fraud to get members to join telling you a bunch of lies and then not delivering on their promise regardless how many people they advertise matching. Caveat Emptor..don not pay them more than a few days at a time if you choose to use them, they will rip you off if you try to cancel!!!

Maybe I didn't make myself clear

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, March 18, 2007

In my opinion dated March 12th I said I have done some research into LGAT's and learned that after people return from the brainwashing they received during the training leave their husbands and wives.

I have noticied that once they end their relationships they start using internet dating services such as eharmony. I was not inferring that eharmony breaks up marriages, I was inferring that LGAT's, such as PSI Seminars do, and once the marriage/relationship is over they turn towards dating services.

You are correct

I did not see that. That one was a bit "off".

I don't think any dating site is trying to break up marriages. Maybe Steve has an unresolved issue with his wife.

Huh?!

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 16, 2007

Who said anything about EHarmony trying to break up marriages?

My wife and I are perfect examples of a couple who truly are "soul-mates", as EHarmony tries to pretend they match up. EHarmony is the ONLY site we have wasted time on that did NOT match us up with each other. the ONLY one.

Every other site has matched us up with at least a 90% match, with most being 95% or higher.

My wife and I have no intention of breaking up. We have been together(28 years) since High School, and still love each other. How many can join our little club?

And again...only EHarmony failed to match us with each other. They matched me up with older women(nearly all), women more than 50 miles away(nearly all), women with kids(all), and Thumpers(nearly all). I put down I want and expect sex several times/day, and got women(nearly all) who don't. I kept putting down the age group I wanted, and EHarmony kept changing it back to their own erroneous setting. What possible reason would I want an older woman for? So I can enjoy her hot-flashes? No thanks. Out of 24 "matches", only 3 were my wife's age(42), or younger.

If I traded her in, it would not be for an older model. It would be for a newer one. And yes, most women want an older man. We have money(security), and know what we are doing in the sack. They may want a younger guy for a quick romp, but when it comes to long-term relationships, women will almost always pick the more experienced(good sex), successful($$$) man. EHarmony can't figure that out.

Maybe their geniuses should go to a bar and observe human behaviour. I can go anywhere, and have women in their 20's and 30's come up to me. I also get the older babes. If I actually wanted to shag one, guess which age group I would hook up with? I have buddies who are in their 20's and 30's(I look younger than I am, but the gray edging gives me away), and I get more action. Why? Because I am self assured, and present an air of confidence. I dress better, know what to drink(18 yr old Macallan-neat), and know how to properly order for the females. I also know how to converse with them on their own level, while bringing them up to mine. Women are so easy to manipulate, if you put some effort into it, and they like it.

The funny part is, they did match my wife up with older men. She put down she wanted younger guys. Get it? Their matching system is just insane. If you want younger, they give you older, and vice-versa.

Look at EHarmony's commercials. They show the same 3 couples, and have for years. That's not what I call a successful percentage rate.

Money is the name of the game, and EHarmoney is just as useless as any other for matching anyone up. Go to a bar(quickie), church(so-so), grocery store(very good pick up spot), gym(actually not as good as you might think, but you know what you are getting), Theatre(plays, not movies...and babes love the Tuxedo), museums(higher class babes...brainiacs can be lots of fun), and of course, classes at the Community College. These are the very best pick-ups. By the time the semester is half over, everyone has paired off.

Good luck!

Robert, I am not saying eHarmony isn't worthless (it has been for me), but what the poster was saying just isn't true. I, too, have been victim of mysterious matches from "beyond the grave", but there isn't a legion of eHarmony storm troopers trying to break up marriages, just to increase their potential customer base...that is just plain bizarre!

They just want your money

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, March 15, 2007

I filled out the loooooooooong questionaire for EHarmony. We do this now and then, for fun. So did my wife of 24 years. I could say 28 years, since that's how long we have been together(together since High School). Usually, we end up being a near perfect(at least 95% match) no matter what site we do it on. Can you guess who was never a "match" for either of us?

My matches came from all over the Country, even though I put down a 50 mile limit. I also tried different age groups, with NONE of them being older than me(45). In fact, I never wanted anyone older than 40. Nearly every "match" I got was in her late 40's or early 50's. At one point, I kept putting down an age range for the female of 21-35, as those are the perfect child bearing years, and I figured if EHarmony was bent on matching me with a baby-factory, she may as well fit the spec sheet. EHarmony kept changing it back. Then they emailed me telling me that this was too difficult to match up. Huh? They couldn't match up anyone within 500 miles with the age range they kept trying, and now they can't match up anyone who doesn't fit their self-imposed age range? Right. Here's a hint...lot's of women want older men. In fact, MOST women want older men. Ask yourself, "am I older than my spouse/significant other"? The men will nearly always be able to answer YES. The women, NO.

I said I wanted no kids. They all had kids. I wanted no religious types. Most were Thumpers.

EHarmony is just as useless as any other. If you want to hook up with someone, go outside the house, and meet them. It's just that simple.

The membership is about $250 if you pay up front, and something around $300 if you pay on a month to month basis. Either way, it's just money down the tube.

Flat out false

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 14, 2007

I have been a customer of eHarmony for 7 months. A year's memebership costs less than $300.00. There is no "training",and no one EVER counsels people to leave their spouse. That statement is completely bogus. I have not been particularly happy with the results, but to smear a company like that with a statement that is beyond the pale, is just not right.
I wonder if "Steve" might be referring to another company?
In fact, one of the problems with eHarmony is actually connecting with a live person at all. So, take "Steve's" intensive "research" for what is't worth.
And really, 300 bucks is a bargain compared to a year's membership in Match.com.
There are enough legitimate ripoffs, that this kind of untruth is a real disservice to the community.

eharmony and Large Group Awareness Training

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 12, 2007

In research I have done with Large Groups Awareness Training Programs (LGATs), such as PSI Seminars, Landmark forum, and others, that many members of these groups turn towards this match making institution, Eharmony, after throwing away their relationships after attending the training and/or brainwashing.

The company takes people for thousands of dollars, tells them their relationships are worthless and gets wife to leave husbands, husbands to leave wives, if they dont attend the training. A lot of the people who throw away these relationships turn towards Eharmony? I wonder if they are secretly effecting these people to get more money from them? anyone with any thoughts?
