So i bought a car from David Maus a while back. I was looking for a car that I was planing on keeping for a while because I was expecting a child, I've always loved VW's and needed a safe, reliable car. I had purchased my first car ever from David Maus's Toyota dealership in sanford and had a great experience there so i figured i would go to their VW location, thinking I would have a great experience with them too.

After all was said and done, I didn't get the car I was looking at originally and the salesman was extremely pushy, thats my fault i should have just walked away and left it at that, but I didn't.

So, now as the used car market is just exploding here in Orlando me and my fiancee decided we should see how much our cars are worth, and maybe make some money off them if we trade them in.... much to my surprise, the dealership i went to to have my car appraised at told me they could not offer me as much as I wanted because my car was in an accident, only 5 months prior to myself purchasing it. This certainly was news to me...

You see, when I purchased the car I was given a carfax, showing me that no damage had occurred on the car and that all service records were up to date... So after hearing the dealerships offer, and their news of the damage to the car, i walked out to get the carfax from my car's glove box, the vin number on the report did not match... i was given a false carfax, passing it off as a perfect car; same year, same color, almost exact same milage (at time of purchase)....

Whatever it takes

AUTHOR: voiceofreason - (United States of America)

Their slogan is "Whatever it takes", and I guess that's what it took to sell a piece of wrecked junk. Provide a false Carfax. Another lesson to be leanred. Make sure the Carfax matches Vin for Vin.
