D&D Movers deceptive adds, incorrect quotes, hidden moving fees, cash only payments, various telephone # Toronto Internet

The business in question when we used their services was called D&D movers and I found their add on a website called http://toronto.craigslist.ca/lbs/

Upon calling the company I was quoted $40 per hour with a truck use fee of $30 only after I inquired about if there were any additional charges.

The day of the move (Oct. 29/07) we were told to sign a piece of paper confirming our information and when I inquired into the new charge of $45 an hour I was told that this was always the rate and they rushed me to sign the paper as they had already started moving the boxes so I was not given time to read the fine print with many additional charges. What should have been a $250 move by the quote over the phone came to $533.

We were overcharged us by an hour and they did not give us our change back from what we did pay and it has been over a week since the first phone call, and on Saturday Nov. 10, 2007 the man was rude and said he would call back today, has not done so and I can no longer get a person.

Unless my husband and I wanted to loose all of our possessions we had no choice by to pay them, and they had started loading the truck prior to our signing the agreement.
