DealTicker Took my money, never shipped product, emails go unanswered Toronto Ontario

June 21, 2013: Ordered 1 pair ray bans for $49 CAD plus $10 CAD shipping = $58.18 USD

August 11: sent email to inquire as I had not yet recieved the product. No reply recieved

August: 25: Emailed again, product still not recieved

August 26: Dealticker responded as follows:

"Thank you for contacting us.

We apologize for this delay in receiving your products. We understand that it is frustrating, however at this time the investigation behind this deal has yet to be concluded. We are currently attempted to locate tracking numbers from this merchant, however we have not been successful. As such, I would like to present two options that management has approved of:

1. Continue to wait for this item, which will require about a 3-4 week shipping period as we continue to investigate this.
2. A refund in either:
DealTicker Credits which is an immediate process or
A refund back onto your original method of payment which would take approximately 4 weeks for the accounts department to process.

We apologize again for this delay. We thank you for your purchase and appreciate your continued patience and understanding."

August 26: I replied telling them if the glasses would not be recieved within 4 weeks to process the refund, no response recieved

September 28: I emailed again asking about the status of my refund, no reply was recieved.

December 17: I emailed again to inquire.

December 19: Dealticker responded as follows:

"Good Afternoon,

Thank you for contacting us, and I apologize for the wait time you are undergoing with this refund.
Generally refunds are processed in 4 weeks, due to management requiring investigation on the merchant to ensure that no other alternatives can be made in regards to your order. We strive to provide all customers with high quality deals, and while we do stand behind our merchants, there are times where a refund must be made.
At this time, we have forwarded this to our financial department so that they may look into the matter of your missing refund. If you have changed your credit card information in this time, please notify us of this change.
We apologize for the inconvenience on this matter."

December 20: I replied asking them to immedately process a refund to my credit card.

December 23 (today): Dealticker responded telling me that I could get an immediate store credit or wait another 4 weeks for the refund as I have still not recieved the product. I responded, telling them that this is unacceptable and demanding an immediate refund.

I gave up. Luckily my bank was very understanding today and is helping me to dispute the charge. Bottom line: do not order from dealticker, they are pure scam! FWIW, I had the exact same problem with them for an order placed on June 15 of this year, followed up on August 11, they offered a refund via email on August 19 which I accepted on August 25 and they confirmed on August 26. I followed up on September 28, having not recieved the refund and they never responded - another one to dispute with the credit card company! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!
