Debt Busters/Edward Levy Numerous Misrepresentations, inexperienced in consumer bankruptcy Denver Colorado

We hired this attorney based upon his affiliation with a prominent foreclosure defense attorney. We were in Bankruptcy Court and needed an experienced Bankruptcy attorney.  When we met with him we were told that he was very experienced in bankruptcy law and knew all about the issues in foreclosure, including: Rescission, fraud by the banks, etc.  He explained that he was well aware of the fact that the party from the bank submitting the Proof of Claim in Bankruptcy court was not the actual owner of the mortgage documents, that it was all a fraud.  If need be, he said: I can bring in the nationally recognized foreclosure defense attorney, request a stay in bankruptcy court, and take this case to federal court to argue the rescission and fraud.  We paid him the substantial retainer and felt relieved.  Turns out this attorney has little to no experience in consumer bankruptcy cases.  He strung us along for a couple months and then filed a notice to withdraw together with an application for additional attorney fees of several thousand dollars.  We disputed his claim and last week we had an evidentiary hearing over the dispute.  During this hearing Mr. Levy denied any affiliation with the prominent foreclosure attorney, claimed he never mentioned fighting the rescission, or that aany fraud existed.  According to Levy this tactic is just debtors looking for a free house.  Ours is not the only case he has done this on.  He took on another case with a party who hired him simply because of his affiliation with the forclosure defense attorney.  She suffered the same fate we did.  It appears that Mr. Levy is taking retainers and making promises with no intention of ever completing anything involved in the case.  He is using the name of a respected attorney to take these cases on, collect the retainer and in a few short months drop the client.  He was untruthful under oath about his affiliation with the other attorney, an affiliation that was clearly announced on the other attorneys own wesite.  We would like to caution anyone thinking of hiring this attorney.
