I had sold my car and had a dealership looking for me a SUV.
So I thought I would buy a another car in the mean time just until they found me the suitable SUV.
I started looking on craigslist and saw a 2005 PT cruiser for $1,500.00 so I called.
The person that answerd was Jason with Deer Valley auto action. He explained that this is a auto action
and how it work.
He assured me that they have a mechanic that goes over each of the vehicle as I was looking
at to make sure they are in good running condition. He said he would not want me to buy a car that
I would not be happy with.
When we started the car after we purchased it the engine light came on. We got I home and it
would not start. Took it our mechanic after a day looking it over. Here is the list of repairs to
put it back in the safe driving condition.
Water pump was shot, leaking head gasket, both moter mounts, rear shocks leaking,
front struts, lower control arm, coolant temp sensor, oil sensor, timing belt.
And who knows what. Its still in the garage.
I have tryed to get ahold of Jason several times in which he will not answser.
I have also left messages with him with no reply.
The whole thing is I would not have not purchased the car from them if he
had been honest and said he has no idea abut the condition of the vehicles he sales.

You had a car. Why did you sell it? Why didn’t you hold on to it until you found another car?
The real question of the day is… why did you pay $2600 for a car that was advertised for $1500? You negotiated for a higher price. That’s hilarious.

For your information the car was not purchase for $1,500.00 only advertised forthat price. I paid
$2,600.00. And Jason lied about his vehicles he said they take the cars out on
the road and check them over make sure they are in good mechanical order.
If he had not told me that I would have never consider buying
from a auto auction.

$1500 12 year old vehicle

I do not work for this dealership or any other dealership. But I have to ask you, what do you expect from a 12-year-old vehicle for $1500? It is a beater. There is nothing wrong with buying a beater, but you have to understand that you aren't buying a new vehicle. It will need repairs. The best way to determine the scope of repairs is to have your pre-purchase inspection done prior to signing anything - and prior to giving the dealer (any dealership) a dime. The time to negotiate the purchase is before you buy it. As consumers, we have to have realistic expectations for an old, cheap vehicle purchase.
All dealerships talk about their multi-point inspections. They don't say that repairs are made - only that a mechanic has looked at it. There is no legislation (apparently) that the sales rep has to be honest in the auto sales world. They can't perpetuate fraud, but I am sure you were sold that $1500 vehicle AS IS which is completely normal.
If you bring the vehicle to a trusted mechanic and fix the items that need to be fixed, I bet you can drive that vehicle until you find the one you wanted originally. Use this vehicle for it's intended purpose. The only thing that needs to be adjusted here is your expectations for a $1500 vehicle.

Here is a perfect example of why you should NEVER buy a car without actually seeing and driving it. Don't trust anyone. People suck.
