I placed a down payment of $500 on a pure bred puppy from Deja Blue Kennels in Oregon. While waiting for the pup to be old enough to ship, I received an email from the breeder saying that it had mysteriously died. I called the breeder to make sure that they would be returning my deposit, they stated that they would after receiving deposits on other puppies that were for sale.

After about a month I had not received a refund, nor had any other contact with Deja Blue Kennels. I called to inquire about the situation & they said that they had not gotten any deposits on puppies & were not able to send a refund yet. They said that by the end of the week they would "have a check in the mail".

This happened for another three iterations where the answer was continually "the check will be in the mail by next week". During all of this I had moved to Kadena AB Japan for the Air Force which has made it difficult to pursue a resolution to this injustice. I still have not received a refund, & no longer am in contact with Deja Blue, due to the fact that they are no longer responding to my emails, or answering my phone calls.

I have purchased my bull dog from Delah Bleu kennels

AUTHOR: hiilei - (United States of America)

I have a 6mo old female bull dog puppy from Dejah Bleu kennels. I found them to be very flexible and easy to deal with. Karen was very supportive and not pushy at all, my puppy came in perfect health and she continues to be a joy in our life (my husband and I).

I do want to point out that in the contract that they provide before you put the downpayment it says that the 500$ down payment is non refundable in the case of a death of a puppt, but, they will credit it toward the purchase of another puppy in the next litter that they have. So the down payment is non refundable.

otherwise I would recommend them to purchase a puppy from everytime! we are going to get our pitbull puppy from them when we move into a larger house!

thank you for your time.

When did the puppy die, at how old? It actually isn't that mysterious if it was very young, and not to mention if it was a bulldog puppy. Their deposit agreement on the site says transfer to another puppy. It is your agreement in writing which actually matters, has the deposit form changed? What does your deposit agreement say? Please give a few more details, and say why you expect a refund as opposed to being able to pick another puppy as they state on their site, and in the form on the site to be filled out by those placing deposits. Their site indicates a different policy than the one you describe. Even if they said they would maybe try to return your deposit to you, they are not really obligated to unless it is in your written agreement I think. Were you supposed to pick another puppy, but thought you should get a refund instead? Did you refuse to pick another puppy and pay the balance? Please outline your actual agreement, and how and when everything happened. *just my opinions*
