I recently purchased a DVD-Burner,80G HDD,ATA100 Controller card, DVD-R disk and a DVD-RW Disk! Well after placing my order (Items IN STOCK) I soon received an email stateing that all the above EXCEPT for the DVD-RW was on Back Order for t least 3 months! By the way this was all purchased using Dell Financial. Anyhow, I decided to cancel the order. I called Dell and spoke with a person that said it was taken care of and cancelled!

Earlier this year I also purchased a Flat panel that I ended up canceling because it was on BO! Well guess what, I received it like 2 days after canceling the order!! I refused shipment on it when it arrived!! (This plays a part in the rest of my story)!

Sure enough I receive a DVD-RW (DISK ONLY) from UPS! My girlfriend had signed for the d**n thing not knowing I had cancelled the order! Well next thing I know I'm receiving bills from dell financial for ALL THE ITEM LISTED ABOVE!! WHAT? I called dell and told them that this order was canceled! The man on the phone said that dell had record of me accepting shipment for a Tracking #. Well I insured him that this was right BUT that I only rec. the DVD-RW (DISK) He then stated that the order showed that this was a DVD Burner! I told him the d**n package only weighed .76LBS not even a pound!

Anyhow I went to their website and found my order and IT SHOWS that all was cancelled EXCEPT for this DVD-RW (DISK)! I then thought to myself (IDEA) I have the packing slip! And sure enough the Packing slip even SHOWS that there was ONLY A DVD-RW (DISK) shipped! So I call back and get a fax # from both dell financial and dell to send a copy from their OWN website and one of the packaging slip and one of the Tracking #!

You would think that the d**n PACKAGING SLIP would have been enough!! BUT just when you think they finally got my account straight I get ANOTHER F*@*ING bill stateing I owe them (x) amount of dollars! Next the phone calls from them will start!

HERE IS the kicker! I have been calling and calling and calling them since NOV 2001. That means this has been going on for almost 1 YEAR! I've done ALMOST EVERYTHING ON MY PART (Emails,phone calls,faxing the info to show) NOW ITS TIME TO DO EVERYTHING I CAN! Its Time to bring a CERTIFIED LAWYER into this matter! Even if Dell called right this min. I would tell them to contact the person that will be handling this (MY LAWYER)!

One last thing: I feel for all you people that have had problems with dell and I REALLY think people should use there skills and WRITE to the Better Business Burea ALSO! So post here and then go get a Piece of paper and a stamped envelope and write down what has happened! Because this is the ONLY way that Dell will pay for the TERRIBLE service!
