We are renting this house and our block had apparently been plumbed badly by the original builder of the home and the owner ended up contracting through Home Depot to get Delta Mechanical as a contracting company to complete the job.  I originally had faith in the company as everyone on the telephone spoke perfect english and sounded intelligent and responsible when I made the scheduled service.

What showed up was not what I expected.  The entire crew seemed to be picked up from a Home Depot parking lot (illegal aliens from Mexico) and were dirty and very young (inexperienced).  The leader of the group - whom I never met was a Bulgarian, who apparently spoke such broken English to my wife that she didn't understand him.

The proceeded with the job and cut many holes into our ceilings, walls and destroyed our garage.  They went into our closet and took all of our clothes and threw them all over the floor without any care whatsoever and drywall dust ended up on every clean piece of clothing we had.

They went into my garage and took my hammer and my dremel from what I actually noticed along with other tools of mine out of my tool chest and used them to do the job wearing down a bit on my dremel as well.  I found my hammer placed in a tool chest they left in my garage, I grabbed it and put it back in my tool chest and the next day they took the hammer back and put it in their tool chest again.  I put it back in my tool chest again and the day after that it was gone without a trace.  When I let "John" the manager of this crew know about it he simply told the worker to return the hammer and it was back on my work bench again.

I complained and John came and inspected their repair work and agreed that the walls had not been satisfactorily repaired.  He seemed apologetic about the giant drywall mess that was everywhere on both floors and told me they would pay me back for the cleaning bill.   He also said that he would take care of the bad repair work done on the ceilings of the drywall.  None of this was done and with as busy as me and my family are I had no choice but to clean up after them and go on with our lives.

I then took a shower one morning and water began to spew out of the very holes that he said would be repaired in the ceiling.  Apparently there was a significant leak.

When we called the emergency number they showed up the next day to re-cut the holes in the ceiling and examine their work, I came home to find a Bulgarian fellow vacuuming up some drywall off our floor and then in broken english so bad it could only be described as unintelligible he said to my wife - not our fault, there is no leak and walked off.

I called John and asked him to call me back during their business hours and he did not.  Instead some other guy called my wife and was very short with her telling her that we were now responsible for fixing the holes in the ceiling and we could call another plumber to fix the problem.

So now we live in a home where when you flush the toilets it whistles loudly for 60 seconds, the air vents now make pinging noises as they had to put those back together, the water pressure has been significantly lowered and I have to pay someone to fix the damage the Bulgarian caused.

I was told by John that they had several Bulgarians working for them and that he had been working with this "crew" for some time without issue.  I can't see how that is true after this experience.

As someone who has just cleaned up after the mess they made a month and a half ago, and now being forced to cleanup the mess their "emergency" services made when they came out and cut up our ceiling I'd say to seriously steer clear of this irresponsible and possibly illegal company.  I won't be shopping at Home Depot any longer as that is where they work out of and get 90 percent of their recommendations and referral work from.  They are wholly unprofessional and the illegal aliens they let in your house have no manners, cleanliness or regard for your property.  I'm just lucky that my wife's jewelry is still there and not being sold in Ensenada right now.

So would I recommend this company for anything?  NO - unless you want me to recommend them for a illegal alien jobs program of some reason.   I still have not gotten a call back from John so that is a good thing that our name can't be used to sell a car.

It's 11:00PM and my wife on bedrest I have to go and feed the kid now and vacuum.  I hope I can save someone the misery I experienced working with this unprofessional company.

Thanks and good luck,
