DELTA SONIC 14304 DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY !!! Niagara Falls New York

I had been a long time customer of Delta Sonic for many years. Both for car washes and oil changes. Never again. This outfit has no regard for the paying customer when they damage your vehicle.

In mid April of this year ( 2009 ) I took my wife's car in for an oil change and grease job. No problems...in and out. The next afternoon I took my 1994 S10 Blazer in for the same services. ( I generally service my car but, it was a crappy day and I had a discount Coupon...so I took it in.) It was an uneventful event.

I took my truck home and parked it off to the side in the driveway. My wife and I were leaving for a long weekend in her car. When we got home early Sunday night I noticed OIL on the driveway under the truck. Not a couple of drops but, a puddle of fresh oil. NOT A GOOD SIGN !

I took the truck into Delta Sonic and explained the situation to the attendant on duty. He told me he would pull it in and check it out. I went to the waiting area. Five minutes later he returned and told me "There is nothing wrong with the oil pan plug, it was just old oil residue coming off of the frame." So, I told him that I have been working on cars for the better part of 45 years and I know fresh oil when I see it. Then I asked him, " You mean to tell me that if I take this truck home and check the oil pan drain plug, it will be perfect" ? To this he answered "exactly". So, I did just that. The drain plug was stripped. I went back and told him my findings and he pulled it back in. From that point on I dealt with the shop manager. In my humble opinion the manager was the only one on top of his game. I told him that I wasn't happy knowing that two liars had worked on my truck. No reply.

I then filled out a Claim Form. About a week later I received a notice to take my truck to a shop of their choosing for an estimate of damage. If they would have sent me to a garage any farther away from my house I would have been in another country ! (Canada) So, I called the claim office and talked to Candy.
She was very helpful and tried to get things done. I picked a garage in my neighborhood that I had dealt with in the past. He said that the oil pan had to be replaced. He then did as he was directed and sent the claim form into the adjuster for Delta Sonic. I also sent a letter to Delta Sonic explaining the details of my dealings with their store. I found out from candy that it ended up in my file at Delta. Never a letter or phone call from them. After what seemed to be about two weeks they got the OK to repair the truck. That was on May15th, 2009. Shortly after that the truck was repaired.

After a dozen phone calls to Delta Claims, by myself and the garage, and hearing empty promises about the Check being sent out.....he finally got the Check on July I will never take a vehicle to Delta Sonic in this life time. They have no idea how much mad ink they have bought themselves over this matter. Advise:
IT'S A CAR WASH ! Nothing else !!!!
