In May 2013 I attended a vacation presentation through Delta Tavel Center.  The agreement was to sit through the presentation and in exchange participants would receive a vacation package.  I followed the instructions and sent in paper work along with my deposit of $300.00 to receive 2 round trip tickets and a cruise. Within a couple months additional paper work and instructions were requested. Information such as desired destinations and travel dates were selected and the forms were sent back via certified mail.

The response from Sunrise Travel was to inform us that our promotional offer was canceled.  It stated that since our selected travel month of March was invalid and therefore our entire submission was not void.

However, the forms failed to mention that the month of March was not a valid travel date. Furthermore details in the paperwork referred to 2013 and my dates provided were for 2014.

One of the many time we attempted to contact the agency by telephone we were told to put any dates since dates in 2014 were not available yet. Once we received the cancelation letter we called into the agency offices, but employees such as “John” brushed me off hoping I would go away and so would this problem.

Once of the times we called in for information, the employee “John” answered the phone and in a low whispering voice stated that he was not able to answer my question because of fear of reprimand from management.  This left us to question the agency we were working with and raised ethical flags.

If the representatives on the phone are not supposed to assist then this would be considered a scam. I have called multiple times and spoken to employee “John” who seems to be the only person working there. Oddly enough, employee “John” sounds very similar to employee “Thomas” who works for Atlantic travel as the travel agent.

I have asked to speak to a manager numerous times and I was told that someone would call me back and no one has made an effort to reach me.  I have asked for my deposit back or my dates to be reevaluated, but was told I would not be able to do so.

I was also told everything needs to be addressed via certified mail which generally takes more then 21 days to respond. It is clear now that all these rules and regulations are designed to cause confusion and therefore denial of the promised gift.

Yeah, Delta is real… a REAL RIPOFF!!

AUTHOR: TheTruth - ()

POSTED: Saturday, May 24, 2014

I received a call from this group. The only travel for you they're interested in, is making your cash travel from your wallet to theirs.

Sure, they have a couple of people that work for them posting phoney positive reviews (Luv2Travel, LoveL, etc.), but don't be confused by them. They want to lure you in to buying expensive time shares or pay "deposits" for "free" travel. The "prizes," "incentives," or whatever they call them are not worth the paper they're printed on (too many restrictions from non-reputable "providers").

The primarily filipino staff are there to pretend to be legitimate, using misleading terminology, and using known brand-names to confuse you.

I love the way that "Luv2travel" justifies the ripoff: "If Delta Travel was a scam they wouldn't have an address to be located at..."  Ah, yeah... having an address makes you completely trustworthy... all the crooks I know live in cardboard boxes.

Don't fall for this ripoff and if you've experienced the ripoff, post it to other sites, like Yelp, Trip Advisor, etc.

Delta Travel Center - Still a Scam - No Customer Service

AUTHOR: EXPRESS - ()

POSTED: Monday, March 31, 2014

It's simple and all about customer service. Luz2travel seems to have gone through a lot of time and though to analyze my post in detail. That is a little fishy to me.

Stay away from Delta Travel. Their trick is to make the "gift" registration and booking a long and tedious processes.  They make you submit multiple forms with confusing date ranges with many blackout days. So the 6 months "luz2travel" is talking about is normal if not more. Most people loose interest and eventually stop trying.  That is why you don't see very many of these posts. And for those people who do take the time to post their experience they spend a lot of time and money removing the posts from internet sites. This is the only site which they can't just have everything removed.

Why do you think it's called "Delta Travel?" This is so that no one can look them up and find their dirt.  When you search Delta Travel you will see nothing but posts related to DELTA AIRLINES.  This is a way for them to hide behind their name and the truth about the scam.

As you can see from faithminded's post they have no manners and no customer service. They are looking for a specific demographics to target and if you don't meet that requirement just hang up and fish for someone else to victimize.

If they were legit they would simply return my money with out all the hassle and runaround.

Real but probably scam

Just cold called by a rep for Delta Travel.  She said I was invited to the grand opening of their new center in Valencia and would receive eight round-trip tickets to be used in one year.  I was then transfered to her manager to explain the process.  When he asked if I was married and I said "No" he hung up.  So much for my invitation.

DELTA TRAVEL IS REAL!!!

AUTHOR: Luv2travel - ()

I have also attended a Delta Presentation. I don't think "EXPRESS" can be a trusted source for information he seems easily confused. EXPRESS wrote "It stated that since our selected travel month of March was invalid and therefore our entire submission was NOT VOID." "Vacation Presentation"

The 90 minute presentation provides information about the benefits of joining Delta Travel private travel club and the fee to become a member. After the presentation I recieved 3,4,5 or 7 night cruise for 2 & Airfare for 2 with hotel stay in the Continental US Destinations & $300 Restraunt Certificate. I had seen some of the negative reviews of the gifts but I would rather see for myself, ask questions and form my own opinion.

Sunrise Travel states in the form for cruise that " Sunrise Travel is solely responsible for this offer and all fulfillments thereof." I decided to skip the incentives and travel worldwide as a Delta Travel Club Member. Instead of booking my own trips and dealing with cancellations Delta does everything for me from booking Resorts, Hotels, Airfare,Auto Accommodations worldwide to planning my crazy vacation adventures.

If Delta Travel was a scam they wouldn't have an address to be located at and many members. "EXPRESS" went to his presentation in May and made report in November....I think in 6 months time there would be ALOT OF BAD REPORTS if Delta was a fraud. DELTA TRAVEL IS REAL.
